"Okay class, we're a week into classes i'm hoping since you're still here you enjoy the class just a little atleast. if not, i'm sorry and feel free to just not come to class" Ms.Stacy spoke to the class as she got up on the stage to start class.
i've had this teacher since 9th grade class and loved her since. i've had a passion for acting since i was young and she's definitely helped me keep that passion alive for being so good at what she does.
she teaches 3 classes at my high school and works at the imperial theatre in our city and does tons of musicals and plays a year.
"we love you Stacy" a student yelled, making all of us cheer.
"well thanks for that hype up guys" she laughed.
today we were finding out what musical we will be doing and then we'll start getting ready for auditions for Thursday. Except everyone actually gets a role somehow so people only get disappointed if they don't get the roll they wanted.
"what musical do you think it is?" Abi asked from beside me.
i shrugged, "i'm not sure"
"let's each pick one and whoever loses..." Abi stopped and couldn't think of a bet. "well can we just guess"
i chuckled. "okay fine, i think it'll be annie or high school music"
"i think, grease"
"the musical we'll be doing is high school musical!" Ms.Stacy finally announced.
i looked over at Abi sticking my tongue out. she rolled her eyes jokingly and looked forward.
"whatever" she mumbled.
Ms.Stacy asked each person to come up to the stage and get a sheet based off of who we wanted to audition for so we could get an accurate script and possibly a song.
i grabbed the sheet for sharpay. "what are you doing Paige! gabriella, helloooo" Chloe, one of our classmates spoke as she also picked up a sharpay.
"i'm not sure Chlo" i said back to her.
"you have so much talent" she said before walking back to her seat.
"she's right Thornton" i looked up and Ms.Stacy was standing at the stage looking down at me.
"don't doubt yourself so much, what roll did you get for the musical at imperial?" she asked.
"the lead" i spoke quietly.
"exactly my friend, unless you got something going on i don't know about. pick up the gabriella sheet, it could help with whatever you're dealing with. take you out of reality"
i groaned, picking up the gabriella sheet.
Ms.Stacy was right, acting did always make me feel better.
"oh yeah queen you picked up gabriella" Abi squealed looking at my script.
"yeah, i don't know though. so much is going on right now abs"
"well if you audition and get the role and later find out there's too much stress in your life, ask to be someone else. not a lead"
"Thanks Abi, who are you auditioning for?" i asked.
"sharpay! i'm so excited"
"oooo nice" i said.
"want to come over and go over our scripts tonight?"
"yeah sure why not"
"which one are you auditioning for harry?" i heard someone say from a few rows behind me.
please don't say Troy.
"i picked up the sheet for Troy and Ryan, not sure who i'm going to audition for yet" harry spoke.
i looked over at abi who was already looking at me.
"he did not just say troy, Paige" Abi said, instantly laughing.
"don't even start Abi" i say laughing with her.
if we both got the lead rolls, life would really be out to get me.
