"Now you can't,"
In all of his career, Sam Wilson had never seen someone like this girl. There was no chance she was human and there was no chance she could just disappear off the map like that. Sam couldn't see any heat signatures besides the ones in the building.
He flew around the side of it and looked at where he thought she might be. She wasn't there, but behind him with multiple guns. She fired into his pack before he had a chance to react.
Lou was sure he'd survive the fall but she couldn't stick around for long. Holding her shoulder and neck, the tired teen flew off in search of her teammates.
Che had called out multiple times to her friends while under fire from these bots that seemed to be multiplying. When the assassin heard the conversation between JJ and Bonnie, she knew things would be better soon.
More shots rang out as Che couldn't get a close shot on any robot. They couldn't blow her up, she was in too crowded of a space.
"Hello, Stark bitches,"
Che could have recognized that voice in a battlefield half deaf in one ear. Before any bot could react, it's main frame exploded from the inside. Che turned around to face the curly redhead that was smirking in front of her.
"You know I had that handled," Che walked up to her kicking a Stark bot in the process.
"Yeah but I wanted to take the credit." JJ smiled at her and held her hand. Any camera surrounding them, on or dead, would not have seen JJ slip the virus dispenser over to her friend.
"Let's go, by now our distraction should have bought us enough time."
"What distraction?"
"Cali's,"
The pair ran across buildings together not worrying much about anything. All they needed to do was get to the checkpoint and give the device to Rae.
Easy, right? Wrong.
I'm sure you're all aware of Che's 6th sense that let's her know where every object is at all times. She has the sense of the energy created around everything and the sense of finding a bitch.
In that moment both senses went off.
She wiped her head around and caught the shield coming at them. In a split second she had grabbed JJ by the neck and pulled her behind the shield as bullets rang out.
JJ pushed Che off the roof and on to another building so she could get away with the device. In moments, the redhead had thrown the shield back at the blonde and other redhead. JJ followed Che who was much farther in front of them, hoping the head start was enough.
The pair didn't stop for each other or anything else as they parkoured from building to building. It wasn't until they made it to the end of the block that the two stopped.
"We need to jump," JJ told Che, looking from the drop to her adoptive sister.
"It's too high," the raven haired girl spoke sharply but with no hints of tiredness.
"Then-"
JJ didn't have a chance to finish when Che pushed her off the roof and got hit with a shield.
JJ trusted her family and didn't make a move to go back to her. Instead, she pulled out a wire and caught herself before she went splat.
The redhead had jumped as well and was copying JJ's landing.
Natasha didn't know who these people were or what they wanted but all she knew was Fury wanted them taken in, alive.
The two ginger's head's shot up at the same time to see each other in the same position. Nat tilted her head slightly at the girl's piercing blue eyes. She was sure she'd seen them before but just couldn't place it.
