When the world has turned against you,
you can always be sure of 2 things: 1. Raccoons to be back stabbing turds 2. Texas to have guns. Well, that's what Lou thought. When you're in the middle of a mission and you're out of ammo and you stumble upon a nice old lady in a cabin with enough guns and ammo to start a war, it seems like the Texan gods are on your side. Let's keep it that way. The raccoon one is a touchy subject, don't ask questions.

"You know Scout when you're done with whatever you're doing, I wouldn't mind some help." Lou fired another round into the sea of guards. She wiped the blood from her eyes and focused on hitting her target in one shot.

"Yeah we're a little busy right now." JJ responded before immediately getting cut out.

Bang

Bang

Another round off and things weren't looking too good. She pulled the bandana farther up her face and closed her eyes for a few seconds.

Lou opened her eyes and the guards were dropping like flies. She let out a laugh and stood up to see Che on a neighbor's roof with her sniper. Che could do god-like things with her accuracy. Lou waved to her and Che waved back. Lou turned her back on her and faced the corner of the alley. She closed her eyes and ran into the wall. It hurt a lot but she got up and did it again. And again. And again. As soon as she started to feel dizzy, Lou felt her powers kick in and she adapted to her surroundings.

Now with a new found super strength, Lou ran through the wall and the walls proceeding it until she made it out of the maze of abandoned buildings and to where she assumed her team would be.

It was still dark out, but Lou could make out the fuzzy glow of electricity coming from the back of a van. She ran behind it  and was relieved and worried to see JJ and Bonnie with a very nuclear battery that was beeping red.

Lou wasn't the techiest person on their team but she had seen enough movies to know that blinking red was bad.

"What's up?" She ran over and placed a hand on JJ's back. Immediately Lou pulled her hand back when she felt the electricity shock her hand.

Bonnie shot a worried look at Lou and pulled her away from JJ. "She can't hold it for much longer," Bonnie whispered. "It's getting overheated."

"You know, I may be concentrating but I'm not deaf." JJ grunted and Lou coughed a  short laugh.

More sweat trickled down JJ's face and the electricity from her hands glitched away from her for a moment. From what Lou could put together, JJ was using her powers to keep the battery cooled but it was taking too much out of her.

Things didn't look too good for the trio, until they heard it. A sweet sweet noise only ever randomly heard in the vast area of Texas, spontaneous thunder.

Lou saw the smirk on JJ's face through her red curls. "You 2 should really make a run for it," She took a deep breath out. "I'm about to do something stupid again."

"What's changed?" Bonnie asked, picking up a bag and preparing to sprint. JJ wasn't their leader or anything but when it came down to it they trusted her word more than anything.

Another clap of thunder and the girls could see lightning in the distance. Now was their chance. Lou grabbed another gun and sprinted away with Bo following her. Less than 7 second later the van exploded from a lightning bolt that had been shot inside of it.

Lou and Bonnie dropped to the ground and Lou turned to look at JJ. The bolt had given her a boost and, through the rubble of the van, the pair could see JJ glowing with power and electricity. The battery was also glowing and there wasn't a blinking red light. Yay. . . I think? I don't know, I didn't listen in physics class.
