The letter totally made sense
It read:
Dear Ivy,
Don't be afraid. I am always with you no matter what happens. Anyways, the lady who would have come home today is our mother. She faked her death and told everyone to tell us she died in a car accident. Dad tried to stop her but she wouldn't. So mother killed him.
What I am telling you is that mother kidnapped me only because she wanted you to come for me and then she could kill us together. This is because she wanted the money we had since we were rich... Not us nor dad. So please Ivy, don't come. I rather sacrifice my life than get you in trouble. Don't come searching for me unless you want both of us to get killed. Live a happy life and you know, don't forget me.
