"You fucking promised" I hissed, my voice cracking at the end as I stared back at the barrel of the gun.
"You have to understand the situation I'm being put in." He responded.
His face looked pained as he held the gun out, away from his chest facing me. "They're not gonna let me out easy unless I do this. I'm trying to get out, live a life, escape..." he trailed off and gulped. His face turned hard and he picked his head up to look back at me, his grip on the gun tightening with more confidence. "I'm sorry"
"I'm not" I replied, my voice strong and bitter with anger.
This wasn't the first time I've been faced with a gun and I had looked death in the eyes before, welcomed it even, but with Warren on the other side of the barrel- it hurt way too much. To know that the one person I finally learned to trust on this planet was about to shoot me and bring me death gave me a heart wrenching, stomach twisting feeling. None the less, I held my ground.
"Hold still" he said, his voice lowering. I glared at him before closing my eyes one last time...
