How I Learned to Play Laser Tag

When I woke up I realized that Zach was here and I walked out and he was sitting at the table with a cup of coffee.

"I hope you don't mind I made coffe, I woke up like an hour ago." He said and I couldn't help but notice the sleep still in his eyes and the adrable half smile playing on his lips.

"I don't mind at all, and you could have woken me up." I said getting a cup of coffee and sitting next to him. "Man I need Starbucks."

"I could never wake you up, and do you want me togo get you some." He said already standing up.

"Oh no, I'll drink this for now." I can't believe he really likes me that much.

"You sure," he asked me. And I sorta just laughed.

"What why are you laughing." I stopped laughing and grabbed his hand.

"I just never knew someone could like me the way I think you do." I said not sure if it was the right thing to say.

"Well believe it." He said and pulled my hand up to his wrist and kissed it.

"So what do you wanna do today." I asked him.

"Well I'm gonna go get you starbucks while you get read and then I'm taking yu to do something." He smiled and let go of my hand and stood up and before he could say anything I hugged him.

"Thank you."

"What it's just coffee." He said back

"No I mean thank you for being here and hanging out with me even though I'm new, I don't know what I would have done without you." I said and kept hugging him and hs arms wrapped around me. I layed my head on his chest and a baby tear slid down my cheek.

He pulled away slightly and said, "why are you crying."

"There happy tears, I promise. It's just that I haven't ever had someone like you in my life, and coming to a public school you know I wasn't sure what to expect and I'm pleasantly surprised." I told him softly looking into his eyes.

"i'm pleasantly surprised that you are as amazing as you are." He told me and I just smiled at him.

"OK, go get me coffee. Let me give you some money for it, and what type of attire should I be wearing for the surprise activity." I grabbed my wallet and pulled out a five and tried to hand it to him, but he just pushed my hand away.

"I got you" he said. "And wear something comfortable and that doens't get to hot."

"OK, will do. And get me a peppermint mocha." I said amd kissed him on the ceek.

"Do they even make then when it's not christmas time."

"Ya they always have peppermint." I said and grabbed the spare key from the junk drawer and handed it to him. I'm gonna lock it while im in the shower, so just come in."

"OK" he said and walked out the door and I went and gt in the shower,

When he got back I was in my room finishing curling my hair and he came and knocked on my door.

"Come in." He walked in an set my coffee on the bathroom counter and smiled at me.

"You look beautiful."

"I bet you say that to all the girls you buy coffee for" I told him and smiled.

"Surprisingly enough, your the only one." And he smiled back.

"Sweatheart are you almost done, we really should go."

When he called me sweatheart it felt like a herd of rhinos chasing a zebra in my stomach and I stopped for a second and then finished up.

"Now I'm ready."

When we got to the surprise it was a laser tag arena and I was so excited. I had heard about it but I had never played before.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so excited let's go." I started to skip to the door and Zach ran to catch up and when we got inside he hugged me from behind as we walked up to the counter.

"Can we get in on laser tag for 2." He asked.

"Ya, no problem. It will be 30 $30." The guy said.

"Here let me pay." I told Zach.

"This is my surprise for you, I will not let you pay." He responded and gave the cashier a 50.

"Just go through those doors and they will be suiting up." I walked towards the doors. When I got inside it was so cool, I looked like a kid in a candy store running around looking at everything and in return a bunch of people looking at me.

"Hey, babe. Over here." he said and I walked over to him bouncing on the heels of my feet.

"You seem excited." he said.

"I am, you have no idea." I said and he helped me get on a vest and a gun and he got one on himself ad then a couple minutes later we were two dors opened on the edge of the room and I ran and pushed through everyone to be the first one in.

When I got in I looked around at all the glow in the dark pillars and the second story, there were also littleobstacle here and there that made it harder to run.

"Hey, Piper. Come take a picture with me." I ran over to him and kissed him on the cheek and just as I did he snapped the picture and then I shot him with my gun and his vest beeped.

"Hey thats not fair." He said and I took off in the opposite direction.

And it was the best day of my life.
