You glanced at your watch and it reads 09:17. You puffed your cheeks, lips puckering. Maybe he couldn't find his wallet or something. Sighing softly, you gazed outside of the cafe. The cafe was quite empty and silent except for the soft background music, considering the fact that it's weekend.

Suddenly, your phone vibrated on the table, indicating that a message came in. Taking a look at it through the lock screen lazily, a frown appeared on your face almost immediately.

Geonhakie♡:

I don't think I'll show up today

Sorry

As fast as lightning, you unlocked your phone to speed dial him on number 3. After a few rings, the call was picked up.

"왜ㅐㅐㅐ?? (Whyyyy??)" You dragged the word, making sad puppy eyes even though Leedo obviously couldn't see.

It had been awhile since your last date as both were busy with works. During one of the late night chat sessions with him, the thoughtful Leedo suggested to have a breakfast date today, to which you immediately agreed. It would be such a shame if it was postponed.

"I'm really sorry princess," upon hearing his groggy voice, you knew that something was wrong. Your eyes turned into a concerned one in a split second.

"Leedo, could you tell me the details? I can easily tell by your voice," you stated sternly. He hated to share his struggles, but he knew better that you wouldn't let it slide easily.

You heard sighing on the other end of the call and a bit of shuffling.

"I had indigestion.. and I think the cold air finally took a toll on me," he was almost whispering at the end of the sentence, you barely heard him.

"What did I say about leaving the window open at night? It's autumn for god's sake, Kim Geonhak," you hissed. You could imagine how a sick Leedo is pouting while hearing your nags.

"But I felt hot I can't help-" his sentence was cut off by his own sneeze, you swore you heard him saying 'it' while sneezing.

"I'll be there in a few. Stay in bed," you said while getting up. "The pin code is still the same, right?" You put your phone in between your shoulder and ear to check if you miss anything in the handbag.

"Still your birthday, Y/N," he hummed weakly and muttered a low 'thank you' before hanging up.

You shook your head while putting the phone into your handbag, going to the counter and ordering breakfasts for takeaway.

You walked into his room to find him snuggled up in his blanket, fast asleep. You let him be to clean up his apartment first. There was not that much of a mess, but his work table looked like there had been a typhoon.

You started with the living room, arranging the throw pillows on the couch and eventually moved to the kitchen. Opening the door of the fridge, you had a look of disapproval on your face, taking a mental note to get some groceries later for dinner.

Then, you proceeded to his work table. Careful not to mix the papers up, you somehow cleaned it the best you can. You noticed that the laptop was on sleep mode, so you scanned through the open windows to make sure that there's no unfinished business before shutting it down, plugging in the charger.

You avert your eyes to the various polaroids of him and his friends along with you, all attached on the wall. Among several post-it notes that had his messy scribbles on them, a particular one catch your attention.

XXX cafe 9 a.m.
Breakfast date with my Y/N♡

Your grin widen at the little empty heart at the end, it is so Kim Leedo. Warmth was spread all over your body, butterflies fluttering wildly in the pit of your stomach. You had to slap a hand over your mouth to stop the squeal from coming out.
