CHAPTER 6

Fuck why am I suddenly being so dramatic? Just why the hell am I overreacting over this matter, it's not like nawala siya for a month. Gosh I hate myself.

Napailing iling nalang ako at tumayo na sa kinauupuan ko para bumalik na sa next class ko when I suddenly overheard two members of the cheerdance team talking.

"Kailan daw ulit natin ip-practice yung main routine ng team?"

"Really not sure about that, but sabi naman ni Chungha na baka next week pa if ever Roseanne show up already."

Wait, you're coming back next week? So you didn't left?

"Nice. At least we could have some break from the hard training before our co-captain comes back."

"What? where are you exactly ba?" I thought.

'Di ko na rin naman mapigilang i-approach yung dalawang nag-uusap para itanong kung nasan ka kaya even if it's really not my thing going around asking strangers, I did it anyway.

"Hey." bati ko at bahagya namang nagulat ang dalawa.

"U-uhh. Hi Lisa." nahihiyang bati nila.

"I happen to hear you two talking about Roseanne kasi." panimula ko. "Mind if I ask if you know her whereabouts? 3 days na rin kasi siyang hindi pumapasok." straightforward na tanong ko kasi I don't like going through a chase.

"Oh. uh ano, she's been absent for 3 days kasi nagkasakit daw siya." sagot nung matangkad na sa tingin ko ay nagpapa-cute kasi hinahawi hawi pa nito ang buhok niya. Parang tanga.

Nagkasakit? How? When?

Napansin naman siguro nilang nagtataka ako dahil nakakunot na ang noo ko kaya they decided to ask me.

"Hindi mo ba alam? Aren't you two close friends? We always see you two inside the school premises." sagot naman nung isa na mas maliit na mukhang bunny.

"Yeah, didn't she send you a message or something?" dagdag pa nung isa.

"I-" Ngayon ko lang na realize, we don't actually have contacts to each other nga pala and I have the audacity to point out sa drama ko kanina na we've known each other for 3 months already.

"I actually don't have her contacts. I never asked." sagot ko. "Anyway, do you know her address?" tanong ko ulit sa mukhang bunny kasi siya lang yung mukhang matino.

Naaasar na kasi ako pagpapa-cute nung matangkad, kanina niya pa pinapapikot ikot yung strand ng buhok niya sa daliri niya. Which is very unpleasing to see. Does she really think na I'll try to flirt with her? Kadiri.

"Ako na, I'll send it through your dms." Pag-volunteer naman nung matangkad at mabilis na kinuha ang phone pero agad naman akong tumanggi.

"Can you just type it here sa notes ko? I'm kind of in a hurry din kasi." sabi ko sabay abot ng phone kay bunny.

"Sure." at agad namang inabot ang phone ko. After that ay mabilis niyang binalik ang phone ko.

"Thank you." tanging sabi ko at tumango lang ito.

"See you around, cutie!" pahabol nung matangkad bago pa ako tuluyang makaalis pero I only looked at her with disgust face at tsaka umiling.

"Maybe never." sagot ko at umalis na.

It's already 4 pm now and I'm standing in front of a white gate at paulit ulit pang chineck yung house number. Medyo malayo pa ang byinahe ko kasi I'm not familiar sa address na ito. This is actually my first time going here sa subdivision na ito kaya mahirap din hanapin yung bahay nila Roseanne.
