Sooner or Later...You Won't Resist Me [Ch. 41]

Start from the beginning

Honestly, I think I'd know if I were in love or not. I mean, just a few weeks ago I realized I liked the guy and the L.O.V.E word isn't even in the confusion that is Cory and I. It's too early to even bring up the "L" word when it comes to us. There was a pause between Susan and I as I thought all this through.

I suddenly leaned closer to her. "This conversation isn't going in the magazine right?" I asked her cautiously.

She laughed and waved it off. "Of course not. Now, let's get back to the real questions," she said with enthusiasm. She seemed really nice about it all.

So we carried on with the interview. Susan asked me simple questions that she said my soon to be "fans" would be interesting in knowing . Stuff like, my favorite color: yellow, my sign: Sagittarius, first kiss: a guy named Jamal in fourth grade, boyfriend; you know, just stuff like that.

Once that was over, it was time to take pictures. I took millions of pictures in three different setting and wardrobes. I actually was having a really great time. My mind was blank of anything that's happened back at my home. The only thing on my mind right now is modeling.

After all the pictures were taken, Jackie, my new manager, pulled me to the side. "So how're you liking it so far?" she asked me. I smiled with excitement.

"I'm having the best time ever," I cheered. Jackie laughed and nodded her head.

"That's good! That's good! But now down to business," she started while going into serious mood. My smile quickly faded. "This modeling industry can be pretty tough. Once these magazines are out, you'll have to start being cautious about places you can go, such as the mall or to school," she started. I nodded my head, gesturing that I already knew all this.

"I'm sure I'll still be able to go to school. Most of those students have known me for years, they won't look at me differently," I told her as I convinced myself.

"Are you sure you'll continuing going to public school? As your manager now, I highly recommend you switch to home schooling," she tried again. I nodded my head again.

"I'm sure. 'Education comes first' was the agreement I made with my parents. And my school will be fine, trust me," I assure her. She nodded her head.

"Okay. So you'll have another photoshoot next week and you'll be getting paid $250 per hour starting with today's shoot," she stated professionally. My eyes widened in shock. $250 an hour? Forget fixing the tire to my car, I'll be able to buy a new car altogether with this type of money.

"That's a lot of money," I breathed, still in a daze. Wow, I never knew how big this whole "new cover girl" thing was

Jackie nodded and began typing away at her phone. "Yes, which is why I'm going to set up a bank account for you. I'd advise you to save at least ten percent of every check and store it away in your account, that way you'll have an emergency stash," Jackie suggested. I nodded along as we began walking towards the dressing room so I can change into my original clothes.

Once that was done, I joined Jackie by the refreshments table, where she told me she'd be at while I got dressed. "Hey, when will I be able to see which picture they chose for the cover?" I asked her as we headed towards the elevator.

"When the magazine is sitting on the rack," she told me. She began typing away on her phone again until a smile came upon her face. "Guess whose designs you're going to be wearing for your next shoot?" she asked me as she turned to face me.

"Who?" I asked her curiously.

"Pete Salon, designer of Salon fashions," she informed me. I eyes widened in utter shock. Salon is a very expensive and famous clothing line. You know the kind that you only see on television? Yeah, that kind of expensive. O to the M effing G...I'm literally speechless right now. This all seems to be happening to fast.
