After the revolutionary war, Tatsumi was able to survive the fight with the emperor. No longer willing to stay in the Empire after seeing so much death, so he leaves in search for a new start in his life, and this journey starts with a girl named Ry...
He then looks up ahead and sees Tatsumi walking towards him.
Sanageyama: You know what never mind I think I found him, tell Lady Satsuki that Osaka will soon be under her control.
He hangs up the phone to greet Tatsumi.
Sanageyama: Tatsumi. I see you've come to challenge me during the Raid Trip huh?
Tatsumi: Of course, I did. No way I was gonna sit back home and do nothing while you guys take over. Besides, you've got something that belongs to a friend of mine, and I've been wanting to get the rest of it back.
???: Not so fast.
Sanageyama: Takarada!
Tatsumi: Who?
Takarada: I think you two are underestimating my power. The power of being filthy stinking rich!

He throws money in the air which is caught by civilians who then act as mercenaries for the guys all equipped with their guns. But before they can shoot, Tatsumi takes them all out with kicks.
Tatsumi: Tch. Using regular people to fight in a war, how little pride do you have?
Sanageyama: Scum like you have no part in standing up to Lady Satsuki.
Takarada: I wouldn't call them regular people, they're more like combat citizens. People who have been blinded by the appeal of money, with this power, everyone in the town is itching to fight.
They get ready to fight each other when Tatsumi hears an explosion followed by Mako screaming.
Tatsumi: M-Mako!? What's she doing here?
Sanageyama: I assume this is where you run away.
Tatsumi: I'm not running away I just got a job to do, and I can't afford to waste any time here. Sanageyama, I'm willing to bet that even you can take these guys out, right?
Sanageyama: Don't insult me like that. Do you even know who you're talking to?
Tatsumi: You better hold your own cause I gotta kick your ass later on!
Tatsumi then rushes off to where he thinks Mako landed. When he finally arrives, he sees a bunch of people with pieces of Senketsu on their uniforms. After taking them out and picking up the pieces he finds Mako with two more students with Senketsu on their uniforms picking her up. Before he could run up and take them out Ryuko runs them all over with her bike.
