After the revolutionary war, Tatsumi was able to survive the fight with the emperor. No longer willing to stay in the Empire after seeing so much death, so he leaves in search for a new start in his life, and this journey starts with a girl named Ry...
Tatsumi: Don't tell me you've already forgotten. Your music won't work on me anymore.
Nonon: What?!
Tatsumi charges through the soundwaves and blasts through every single student with combinations of punches and kicks. Before reaching the pink-haired, pink-eyed girl. Giving her a punch to the back of the head, knocking her down.
Tatsumi: Consider yourself lucky. I only took it easy on you because you reminded me of someone I loved.
Nonon: I'd feel bad for the girl if she ended up falling for you.
Tatsumi: 'I would too.'
He went over to the students and, once again, ripped all the pieces of Senketsu off and put them in his bag. Right as he gets back up, he starts coughing up some blood himself right next to the pieces of Senketsu.

His face was almost completely covered in his own blood as he tried to move so slow enough so that his healing factor would kick in.
Tatsumi: Come on Tatsumi just power through, you can do this. Next is Sanageyama, and then Satsuki. Just gotta keep pushing forward. I wish I could just sit down and heal a bit but now's not the time, so one foot in front of the other.
The pattern continues as Ryuko shows up a little bit later just to see the aftermath of the fight with Tatsumi and Nonon.
Ryuko: Damn! Too slow again.
Senketsu: The pieces of me are still moving right ahead of you.
Ryuko goes back to her bike when she sees blood right next to them.
Ryuko: Senketsu, that isn't-
Senketsu: Yes, that is Tatsumi's blood.
Nonon: It seems my music still did some damage to him. You'd better hurry if you want to get to your man again, but be warned, the second I get back up there, I'm putting both of you through hell.
Ryuko: I don't have time to worry about you right now. *She hears an explosion near Osaka* Shit! We gotta hurry. Tatsumi, I swear to God if you die on me because of this.

Tatsumi finally steps foot in Osaka which already is starting to look like a warzone.
Tatsumi: Looks like Sanageyama has been busy. Shit all of this destruction just to build a bigger empire. I need to stop this before anyone else gets hurt.
He runs through the street until he spots an advertisement for some kind of delivery service.
Tatsumi: Huh? Only five yen for delivery, that's either the best deal ever or a complete scam.
Meanwhile, Sanageyama is dealing with the Osaka students when he gets a call from Inumuta.
Inumuta: Sanageyama this is urgent! Gamagoori and Jakuzure have both been taken out by someone.
