After the revolutionary war, Tatsumi was able to survive the fight with the emperor. No longer willing to stay in the Empire after seeing so much death, so he leaves in search for a new start in his life, and this journey starts with a girl named Ry...
Gamagoori: You think Satsuki doesn't know this already, she is always prepared for every situation. She'll find a way to make it work.
Tatsumi: Whatever you say. The only reason I'm telling you this is if she tries to pawn it off to someone else before I get it back. Besides, from what I saw from you guys so far, I doubt anyone here would be able to use it to its fullest extent anyway.
Gamagoori: That is something we'll have to find out on a later day. I'll see you next week, Tatsumi Sayaka.
Gamagoori drives away leaving the trio who later gets ready to go back home themselves.
Ryuko: Tatsumi. Just what the hell is that sword really?
Tatsumi: I guess you told me about your dad, so it'd only be fair if I told you something too.
Ryuko and Mako listen intently... Well Ryuko listens, Mako falls asleep.

Tatsumi: Incursio was once made from an S-class danger beast called Tyrant, it had monstrous strength, speed and could even breathe fire like a dragon. But its main strength came from its ability to evolve and adapt to any situation making it an apex predator of apex predators. When someone managed to finally defeat the damn thing, they found a way to store his body in a sword. A sword that can call upon the very much still alive danger beast to form a suit of armor around a person. It's kinda like Senketsu in a way but if it wasn't a skimpy sailor uniform.
Ryuko: Was that last part really necessary?
Tatsumi: Yes, yes it was, but anyway. Only people that are deemed compatible with Incursio can use this armor, and if you're not you'll die due to the strain it causes you.
Ryuko: And are you not compatible? Why haven't you been using it? It probably woulda' came in handy in our fight with Satsuki.
Tatsumi: T-That. I'll answer that in full later on, but the short story is that it'd probably lead to more problems for everyone involved if I did. Now let's head home, it's getting pretty late, and I am starving.
He starts jumping from building to building again.
Ryuko: Okay, so that wasn't suspicious at all. But he seems pretty dead set on sticking by me, so I doubt it's something that I need to worry about right now.
Senketsu: It seems like we're getting closer and closer to finding out who Tatsumi really is, huh Ryuko.
Ryuko: Yeah, but it doesn't feel right that he's hiding stuff from me.
Senketsu: He probably has his reasons. He did come from the Empire and from what we've seen of him so far. It doesn't look like he's too fond of remembering anything about that place.
Ryuko: Yeah I figured.
She grabs Mako, who fell asleep halfway through Tatsumi's explanation, and starts driving back.
