Aggron uses Stealth Rock, so the other pokemon get some bits of damage from the get-go.

Xatu uses Hidden Power, but Aggron powers through with a powerful Head Smash, and thanks to Rock Head, it doesn't face recoil damage.
This easily knocks out Xatu.

The two return their pokemon and before they start the first triple battle, yep, Team Rocket busts in, looking like they stole a bunch of evolution-related items.

"How many times do we have to teach you a lesson?!" May says, clearly irritated.

May has Combusken and Gloom out, Max has Grovyle and Sealeo out, Brock has Marshtomp and Lombre out, and Molly has Torchic and Seadra out.

Luckily, the room had a pool for Seadra.
Seadra launches a Bubblebeam at the evil team, causing some of the items to go loose from their bag.

Meowth goes to pounce Seadra, but the water type jumps up, landing on the ground next to a link box and Dragon scale, pressing the button to activate the link box and it evolves into Kingdra.

Torchic evolves into Combusken after a powerful Flame Charge against Cacnea, Gloom, and Lombre have their respective evolutionary stones flying towards them, so they take the opportunity, evolving into Bellossom and Ludicolo.

May's Combusken evolves into Blaziken after blocking Seviper's Poison Sting, and Max's Sealeo evolves into Walrein while using Dive on Meowth, launching the cat pokemon out of the water.

Max's Grovyle and Brock's Marshtomp evolves into Sceptile and Swampert after launching the rest of Team Rocket out of the building.

"Oh my." Ash says, not really expecting the others to take the lead on the attack against Team Rocket.

"You need to be able to rest from those guys." Molly says with a smile.
The newly evolved pokemon stay out to watch the upcoming battles.

"Does that Team Rocket gang follow you everywhere?" Amabel asks, clearly concerned.
"You have no idea." The five heroes says in unison.

"But let's get back to battling."
Ash says, smirking, letting out Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert.
Anabel responds to this by sending out Gardevoir, Grumpig, and Girafarig.

Gardevoir uses Moonblast, Grumpig uses Psyshock, and Girafarig uses Swift, but Swampert blocks it with Protect, having Sceptile and Blaziken behind the Mud Fish pokemon.

Sceptile uses Swords Dance, Blaziken uses Hone Claws, and Swampert uses Work Up to boost their attack powers.

Sceptile lands a powerful Leaf Blade on Gardevoir, Blaziken uses Blaze Kick on Grumpig, and Swampert uses Muddy Water on Girafarig.

They use the same moves once again on the same targets, knocking out the three.

Now, the pokemon swap out, the final battle. Anabel has Metagross, Alakazam, and Espeon, and Ash lets Pikachu, Eevee, and Togetic onto the field.

Anabel has Metagross use Flash Cannon, Alakazam use Psychic, and Espeon use Psybeam in a combo.

Pikachu, Eevee, and Togetic fight back with Volt Tackle, Fairy Wind, and Trump Card in a combo.
Anabel's pokemon got badly hurt, panting softly, as are Ash's pokemon.

Alakazam uses Psyshock, Espeon uses Expanding Force, and Metagross uses Flash Cannon, while Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, Eevee uses Trump Card, and Togetic uses Air Cutter.

When the smoke clears, all six pokemon were badly hurt, but Anabel's pokemon were down.

"Oh... Well, Brandon was right. You're great." Anabel says, smiling and gives Ash a handshake.

"I hope we can battle again sometime. You more than earned this. The Ability Symbol." Anabel hands Ash the aforementioned symbol.

Ash smiles, looking at the golden symbol. "How about we call Brandon and tell him the good news?" Anabel proposes.

"Yay! Let's do it!" Molly says in excitement. Ash nods, giggling a bit.

They head to Anabel's office and video calls Brandon. "Hey Boss. Guess who got their sixth symbol?" Anabel greeted, Ash coming over.

"Uncle Brandon, I'm glad you're doing well." Ash says with a big smile.
Brandon grins wide.

"I knew you'd get six symbols before the end of the month. I'm glad to see everyone is well." Brandon says.

"So Uncle, where's the Battle Pyramid today?" Molly asks. "Well, we're on our way to Sootopolis City. There are some ruins I want to check. After your gym battle at Mossdeep, head over to the Battle Pyramid, okay?'

"Sounds like a plan to me." Ash says with a smile. "Great! I'll be seeing you soon." Brandon says, hanging up the call.

"Let's head to the pokemon center to heal up. Tomorrow, we head to the gym battle." Ash says, everyone agrees.

Our heroes head to the pokemon center to plan for the Mossdeep gym battle.
