Marinette, Heir of China

Chapter 2

"Alya, you're here! Let's get going in that case," Marinette says and walks through the gate to the private jet, the others following.

"Come on babe!" Nino calls out and Alya snaps out of her trance and rushes after.

After they take off for the eleven hour flight, Alya asks her questions again.

"Nino, you explain. Chloe, let's get some drinks," Marinette says and Chloe stands up. The two quickly head off to the kitchen/bar area of the jet.

"Well, Marinette is a princess. Princess of China, heir to the throne. We're actually going to her coronation," Nino says.

"Haha, very funny. What's the real reason?" Alya asks. Nino just sits there with a straight face.

"I'm not lying," Nino says as Marinette and Chloe come back with drinks, handing them to everyone.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, you're a princess!" Alya exclaims.

A few minutes later they manage to calm Alya down but Alya comes up with a new question. "That doesn't explain who they are and how you're friends with them," she says.

"Well, Chloe, Juleka, Luka, and I have known each other since we were young so they've been pretending to hate me since we had to go undercover. And we'll introduce ourselves afterwards," Marinette says.

"What do you mean go undercover?" Alya asks.

"Mari had threats sent to her but obviously the problem has been solved since we're going back home," Nino replies.

"How about we start introducing ourselves?" Juleka suggests and everyone agrees. "I'll start. Hi, my name is Jingjing, which translates to Jewel, which is where I got my undercover name, Juleka. I'm the daughter of teachers at the Royal Academy at Shanghai, which is my school."

Luka goes next. "Hi, I'm Liqin, which translates to Lucas, where I get Luka from. I'm the son of teachers at the Royal Academy at Shanghai, which is also my school. And as you know, Juleka and I are twins."

Next goes Daniel. "Hi, I'm Delun, which translates to Dan, which is where I get Daniel from. I'm one of Marinette's many bodyguards."

Then Peter. "Hi, I'm Peng, which translates to Parker, which is where I got Peter from. I'm also one of Marinette's bodyguards."

"That doesn't explain where Peter came from," Alya comments.

"He read tons of Spider-Man comic books," Marinette and Nino say in unison. Alya nods.

Then Chloe goes. "Hi, my name is Chloe, which translates to Changying in Chinese. I'm part of nobility, which is part of how I met Marinette."

Nino goes next. "Hi, I'm Zhaohui, which translates to Nicholas, which is where I get Nino from. I'm Marinette's main bodyguard and her undercover assistant, which will change once we see Kami again."

Finally, Marinette's turn. "Hi, I'm Zhi Ruo, heir to the throne of China," she says.

For a few hours they all get to know each other and all become very close. They even played some games and such.

By the time they near Shanghai, it's three in the morning in China Standard Time.

"Zhi Ruo, lái ba, gāi chuān yīfúle," Nino says in Chinese, translating to "Marinette, come on, time to get dressed."

Marinette groaned but got up and headed to her bedroom. The others were already in their clothes, except Alya who was asleep.

Marinette came out in her dress and everyone gawked over her.
