Suddenly, a marching band is heard at the door with Nonon, a member of the elite four, leading them.

Nonon: Your battle with the Kamui user was magnificent, but now it has seemed to grow quite stale, so be a doll and hand over the Kamui, and yourself if you don't mind.

???: There are two things you need to know. One I'll never let you catch me. Two, I'll never hand them over to you.

His suit starts to inflate before exploding into a giant smoke cloud leaving no one but a small grenade behind.

Ryuko wakes up in another room, she gets up looking for Senketsu and is relieved when she finds him still on her body.

Ryuko: Oh thank God.

Senketsu: Actually you may want to thank the stranger.

Ryuko: Dammit! I got my ass handed to me again.

Senketsu: Don't push yourself, we're both in tatters now.

Ryuko: We need to get stronger. I know we can get stronger together but.

Senketsu: You said I was just a piece of clothing remember.

Ryuko: I know and I'm sorry. That's not what you are at all. You're my friend.

Senketsu: Really!

Ryuko: You bet! So can you please stop measuring my BMI?

Senketsu: Not gonna happen.

Ryuko: Oh come on I thought you said we were friends.

Senketsu: Yes but you still need to lose weight.

Ryuko: I'm working on it with Tatsumi ok! Speaking of Tatsumi, where is he? I thought I saw him run in before blacking out.

Senketsu: He's right outside that door. He seems to be pretty upset lately and blaming himself for your injuries so talking to him is completely up to you.

Ryuko: That idiot.

Ryuko gets up and walks outside to see Tatsumi sitting on the cliff staring out into the sea talking to himself still cut up from all the needles and knives he took.

Ryuko: Hey Tatsumi.

Tatsumi: Oh Ryuko you're awake. How are you feeling?

Ryuko: Feeling great, like I just woke up from a long ass nap.

Tatsumi: Well that's always good to hear. *He gets up to walk away* I'm gonna take a walk and collect my thoughts.

Ryuko: Wait. Look Senketsu told me that you were blaming yourself for what happened to me, and so I-

Tatsumi: It's fine! I'm fine... It's just that... *Sigh* One of my friends got hurt because she went off on her own and I was too late to save her. Seeing you do the same thing, reminded me of that, so.

Ryuko: I'm sorry. I just didn't want to see you get hurt again, but I guess it was all of nothing.

Tatsumi: Don't apologize. It's not like you could've known the guy booby-trapped the entire school. Besides these scratches are nothing you need to concern yourself about, I'll be fine. Anyway, you down for more training?

Ryuko: Sure, just let me get ready.

As Ryuko leaves to do some stretches Senketsu talks to her.

Senketsu: He's trying to change the subject.

Ryuko: I know but I don't want to push him on this any further. Damn idiot blames himself for everything.

Senketsu: This is just speculation but I think something bad happened to him in the past for him to end up like this.

Ryuko: You think so?

Tatsumi: You done stretching yet Ryuko?

Ryuko: Yeah. *She runs over to Tatsumi.* Ok what should we start with first.

Tatsumi: Well we just got out of a fight so let's do something small, how about we run around the slums like last time.

Ryuko: Sounds good to me. But before we start, can I ask you something?

Tatsumi: Sure, go ahead.

Ryuko: Your friend that got hurt going off by herself, what was her name?

Tatsumi:...

Ryuko: Y-You don't have to answer that if you don't want to.

Tatsumi: Let's start the training.

Ryuko: Ok.

They start running through the slums.

Tatsumi: Chelsea.

Ryuko: Huh?

Tatsumi: My friend's name. It was Chelsea.
