Prologue

1945

It all started with a peaceful sunny day, the birds were chirping, the miners whistling and the people of the kingdom were just waking up.

The couple had to get really to meet the King and Queen, so they can deliver straw and milk, the couple worked for the King and Queen because they believed that the couple provided the best straw and milk within the kingdom.

They got to the kingdom and the guards let them in to wait for the King and Queen, while they were waiting they could hear yelling coming from another room above them. The couple gave each other a worried look, Beatrice the wife of the couple said in a worried tone to Fred "Do you think if they keep on fighting they are going to split up the kingdom? What do you think will happen to us, and our coming children?" Fred gave her a worried smile.

"I don't think they would split the kingdom up and even if they did it wouldn't be because of their fighting it would be because someone else has forced them to, don't worry about us because we will always be together and our kids will be safe with us." This made Beatrice smile.

After a minute or so the King and Queen came in the room, the Queen had a sweet smile on her face while the King had a serious face, the King and Queen sat down on their thrones. The Queen started talking "Welcome Beatrice and Fred, sorry about the wait, I see that you are starting to show a little bit more, you must only be a week or so now, you two are going to be great parents." The couple said their thanks and gave the King and Queen their straw and milk and went back to their village.

The King and Queen start arguing again when the couple has left. "We need to do what is best for the kingdom, my love, if we surrender then we will lose the kingdom we have worked so hard to build."

"I know but violence won't solve anything, no matter what they will always want our kingdom to split in two because that is how they run their kingdom, the star readers on one side and the diamond readers on the other side. They believe that because their kingdom doesn't get along neither should we." The King looked at the Queen with a sad expression.

"I hear what you are saying, but do you really believe that if we surrender we will have our kingdom back to normal again?" The Queen puts her hand on top of the Kings.

"I can't be certain that our kingdom will ever be normal again, I have read the diamonds lately and they have been given mixed signals on what the future holds. One version says that the kingdom will go back to normal one day, and the other says that our kingdom will go to ruin. The future is never certain as I have told you many times before. We have to believe that our kingdom will one day go back to normal because if we don't we are going to be fighting an endless war. Aren't you sick of fighting a war we can't win?"

"Of cause I'm sick of fighting in this war, I guess that I have to believe everything is going to be alright."

One week has past and the King and Queen have let the Kingdom know that they are splitting the kingdom into two.

The couple has had their children for a least a day when they find out the news about the kingdom splitting, they look at their two lovely children Sophia and Darla, and look back at each other and Fred says "We can't stay together you know if they find us we are going to both be killed and then Sophia and Darla are going to have no parents. I suggest that we take one kid each and we go our separate ways and we hope that one day fate will bring our family back together." As tears start going down both of their cheeks Beatrice nods and agree to what Fred says.

"But what happens if someone finds out that our girls can read both the stars and the diamonds?"

"We are just going to have to hope that no one will kill them."

The next day the couple and the rest of the kingdom have taken what belongs to them and they have gone to their side of the kingdom, Beatrice and Sophia go on the star readers side and Fred and Darla go to the Diamond readers side.
