Imagine that you were 7 years old and you were brought in with a very little amount of vitamin and water in your body. Dr Charles had came in to visit you and you said,
"Dad's bad."
Your dad was dangerous to be around as he was working with a group that Chicago PD were trying to catch.
Dr Charles realised this after you said your dad was bad and made sure to keep him away from your hospital room.
"Sir, you're jot allowed in their." He said to your dad. "Shy not? Y/n's my child!" Your dad replied. "I'm sorry sir, but you've left me no choice." Dr Charles replied.
Then the police walked in and brought your dad down to the precinct. Dr Charles walked back into your room.
"Y/n sweetie, your dad was a bad man and he had to go somewhere for a while." He says to you. "Oh... could I stay with you?" You asked him. "Yeah, of course." Dr Charles replied.
Timeskip a few years later, your old dad was in prison for life for being apart of a bad group and Dr Charles had adopted you into his family.
