Fog swirls through the air in the bathroom as I finish up my long-ass shower. My playlist restarted a minute ago and Set It Off's newest song is blaring from my speaker on top of the toilet. It seems like my brain is finally ready to go to bed after staying up the day and night before. The loud music is as much there for keeping me awake as it is for my enjoyment.
My blinks are getting slower as my eyes droop against my will and I take the cue my body is desperately trying to get across. I let the hot water fall down my back one more time before turning the knob and stopping it altogether. One hand clutching my towel, I step out onto the dry bath mat, my long dyed green and natural brown hair dripping down.
After squeezing out some of that water and wrapping my perfectly gigantic towel around my body, I pick up my speaker and turn to open the door. I blink slowly once more and I feel a popping pain on my hand. I jump, but manage to keep a hold of the speaker and my towel. Said piece of technology is going nuts: it has a weird colorful aura and it's throwing off sparks everywhere. I go to drop it like it's hot -because it literally is at this point- but before I can, the world swirls around me and I feel weightless.
Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck-
I tuck my towel tighter around me and wonder what kind of rabbit hole I landed my ass in. I'm falling through a free space filled with almost holographic reflections all around. Air is rushing up at me, drying me off in a rather unpleasant way. Right when I'm trying to figure out if I've blacked out from the hot shower, the space burst into a searing light and I thud onto cold, wet tile.
