After the revolutionary war, Tatsumi was able to survive the fight with the emperor. No longer willing to stay in the Empire after seeing so much death, so he leaves in search for a new start in his life, and this journey starts with a girl named Ry...
Mako: It's okay, Tatsumi. It lived a beautiful life, and what a way to go out. Landing right on Ryuko's face truly, a fate better than most.

Tatsumi: If you value your tongue then the answer is no now come on.
Tatsumi grabs Mako's hand, dragging her away from Ryuko before she started swinging. Ryuko whipped the cream off of her face and followed her friends. They continue through the obstacle course Maiko almost loses her balance over the alligator pit, only to swerve out of the way when Ryuko tries to save her, falling in the pit as a result and forcing Tatsumi to get her out. They then have to jump across a bridge when.
Mataro: I'm coming Ryuko just hang on tight!
Ryuko: Maiko grab my hand!
Maiko jumps off but missed once again as she ends up pulling Ryuko's pants down causing Mataro to crash his bike.
Ryuko: My hand Maiko! Grab my God damn hand not my pants!
Tatsumi: Oh for Christ's sake you know what I'll be right back!
He jumps off and leaps from building to building and grabs Senketsu. Leaving him in the one star district.
Ryuko: What are you doing!?
Tatsumi: You guys go up ahead! I'll get Senketsu for you.
Mataro: I'm sorry. We couldn't finish washing your stuff in time.
Tatsumi: It's fine Senketsu was more important than my clothes anyway.
Senketsu: Oh thank God someone with some sense of direction has come to my aid.
Mako: Tatsumi! You need to hurry, there's only thirty minutes left.
Tatsumi: Got it! Alright, no time to lose, time to kick it into overdrive!
Tatsumi jumps onto a road where he sees students rushing down only to get blown up by landmines.
Tatsumi: Landmines huh that's gonna be an issue. *He looks at the condos* Maybe I can jump from the holes in those buildings? Welp here goes nothing.
Tatsumi jumps from the road and begins running on the side of the building jumping from each condo when he starts to lose his momentum.
Tatsumi: Well this is going much better than I thought it would.
Just as he said that people from inside the building started pointing at Tatsumi... with assault rifles!
Tatsumi: OH SHIT!
