ten swam down from the surface, immediately spotting a familiar yellow tail.

"ten!" hueningkai smiled, but his voice was urgent. "i don't even have time to ask where you've been, because your sister's coronation is soon!"

"yeah, hence why i'm back." ten began to swim beside the younger.

hueningkai and ten quickly swam back to the underwater palace, where ten's father was outside.

the merman scowled. "we'll talk later. you're almost late!"

ten sighed, swimming into the palace. there was his sister, tern, looking as beautiful as ever.

"hey sis." ten smiled. "are you ready?"

"ready as i'll ever be," the girl sighed. "but where have you been?"

"it's a long story. and you have a coronation to get to."

tern smiled, patting her younger brother on the back before swimming through one of the doorways. ten followed her, settling at the back to watch.

"i now present, queen tern kulisara leechaiyapornkul!"

ten applauded, the crown finally being lowered onto his sister's head. his sister would be in charge when his dad died.

speaking of ten's dad, he was not happy at all with the boy's shenanigans.

"ten chittaphon leechaiyapornkul. where did you go?"

ten sighed. "...to the surface."

even tern turned around in shock. "the surface?"

ten's dad looked like his eyes were going to fall out of their sockets. "the surfa— you better not have gone onto that... that island up there!"

"actually, i did! i went up there and i fell in love! so what about it?"

ten slammed his hand over his mouth, watching his father's face morph into anger. tern looked a bit uncomfortable.

"you WHAT?"

ten flinched at the sound of the man's voice. yukhei never rose his voice.

he wanted yukhei.

"oh, now your quiet. say one more thing about the world up there, then i promise that you will never go near there."

the son sighed. it would be better to stay silent than to talk back if he ever wanted the chance to see yukhei again.

"yukhei, you've been moping around for the past week. tell me what's wrong."

yukhei sighed, looking at his best friend. "ten's gone."

jungwoo gasped. "and to think i thought you just didn't bring him. where is he?"

"home," yukhei replied solemnly.
