Prologue (Evolving Threads)

Najenda: Before I tell you what's happened you need to know how Incursio works. After every use of Incursio it slowly devours your body, it will eventually lead to you becoming Incursio yourself.

Tatsumi: D-d-devour me. But I feel just fine now. Hell, I feel even stronger than I was before, much stronger in fact.

Najenda: You are much stronger than you were before but try not to think of it as a good thing

Najenda: You are much stronger than you were before but try not to think of it as a good thing. Fusing with Incursio does make you stronger but it will completely break you down if you're not careful. Bulat was able to use it a lot because he only used it in moderation and had years of experience training with it but seeing as you forced a transformation and an evolution it sped up that process by quite a bit. If you were to use Incursio 3 or 4 more times, it would consume you completely. Long story short... Certain death. That change in your right eye was only the first symptom. The good news is that now that the war is over, I doubt you'd be using it often.

Tatsumi: *Jokingly* So, I'm part Incursio, you think I'm gonna be able to evolve or go invisible now?

Najenda: That actually may be true.

Tatsumi: What?!

Najenda: Even if the only current side effect is your right eye. You ARE partially Incursio now so it isn't too far-fetched to say that you wouldn't have its abilities as well. That and you technically already did it. When you were crushed by the Emperor's Teigu, Incursio unequipped itself. It was your will to keep living that made you evolve past that point and develop a pseudo healing factor for yourself. It's the only reason you're still alive right now.

Tatsumi: Like Leone's teigu?

Najenda: Almost. The only difference is that you only really start healing when you're out of battle. It's also not as good as Leone's either, even after the evolution it still took you about a month to recover but you can probably blame that on the strain it took to evolve plus the injuries you've already suffered. We also don't know if you'd be able to reattach something like a limb and I don't think you want to find out anytime soon. It's only a theory, but from what I'm seeing here. It's plausible.

Tatsumi: Ok... But wait, wouldn't my body still transform into a dragon? Why am I still on the first symptom?

Najenda: The main reason for you becoming Incursio was because you were using the key Incursio was stored inside and therefore its power. If you were to evolve without the key that wouldn't affect your body because you're not borrowing that power anymore.

Tatsumi: So as long as I don't use Incursio to transform, I won't be devoured?

Najenda: Even if that was the case, most people would likely die due to the amount of strain it'd put on your body. But I'm fairly certain that you could evolve using whatever method you used before and maybe even survive if you have the grit and willpower to take your mind back.

Tatsumi: I'm still lost here.

Najenda: Remember what I said about this not being a good thing. It's because now you and Incursio are the same person now. Meaning that you share the same mind. It may be dormant now, but I assume when you get into stressful situations, which will come with trying to evolve, it'll try and take control, and if it does manage to take complete control over your mind. It'll take a miracle to get you back to your senses.
