Teru X Reader (Confess)

You were anxious, today was the day you would confess to the one and only Teru Minamoto, you know that he would reject you but you just wanted to get it off your chest.

The final class ended and everyone got their stuff to leave the classroom, you got your phone and turned it on, you and Teru aren't necessarily best friends but just acquaintances, you were in the student's council for some time but you left because all the stress you have been put through.

You texted Teru and he replied for a few seconds

You:
Hey Teru! Are you free for some time?

Teru:
Yeah, I am

You:
Great! I was wondering if we could meet at the greenhouse

You:
It won't take long, just have something to tell you personally

Teru:
Alright then, I'll meet you there later :]

You grinned at Teru's last text, You hurried your stuff and went to leave the classroom "Y/N!" you heard someone say, you turned around to see who it was and it was Aoi and Yashiro "We're planning to walk home together, wanna join?" Yashiro asked smiling, Aoi smiling as well "Oh, sorry I can't join today, I have to meet up with someone", you said apologising Yashiro shook her head "No, It's ok!" Yashiro said and Aoi nodded "Yeah if it's something urgent you can go", Aoi said and smiled, you smiled back at them and waved, both of them waved back and said goodbye

You were going to the greenhouse heart beating fast, you have to get this off your chest, these feelings were slowing you down and besides, if he rejects you, you can have all the ice cream and tears you want in the end

It's a win-win

You're finally in the greenhouse you noticed Teru wasn't around yet so you waited for a while exploring inside the greenhouse with their unique aspects, you heard a door open and close, you looked as if it were Teru and it was 'Shit, he's here you thought, you're anxious, butterflies in your stomach Teru noticed you and smiled he went up to you "Hi Y/N!" He said "Hi --- Uh, Teru" both of you dropped the formalities, you guys don't mind

"What is it you wanted to tell me?" He asked tilting his head, you closed your eyes, inhaled then exhaled, you opened them back up "I just want this to be simple and clear" You said and looked at Teru "Teru Minamoto, I l-like you" you stuttered and clutching your fists "It's ok if you don't like me back, I just wanted to get this off my chest" you said, you closed your eyes and sighed waiting for a response

"I'm sorry.." You heard him say, you shrugged your shoulders "I don't feel the same way..." He said, you opened your eyes and looked back at him trying to force a smile "I know" you said "I'm sorry Y/n-san I---" you clenched your teeth and looked down, your eyebrows furrowed "Didn't I say to drop the formalities?" You interrupted him, you're not able to look at him in the eyes anymore

Wait...

You knew this would happen

You knew he wouldn't like you back

So...

Why did you have hope?

Why did you even try to think that he would like you back?

Because...You only wanted to feel loved..? happy..? comforted?... Wanting to have an everlasting relationship?

You knew you had no chance

So,

You wanted to cry but sucked it up "I'll be taking my leave, Nice talking to you Teru", You said walking past him, but stopped in front of the door holding the doorknob "May I know...Who is the one you like? If there's anyone that is.." you muttered the last sentence, you hesitated but it doesn't matter anymore, you are just curious to see who was the one that stolen Teru Minamoto's heart

"..."

"ልዐጎ.."

You smiled sadly "Then, good luck", you said and twisted the doorknob and went out feeling the cold breeze on your face. You had confessed to the prince of the school, I'd say that's a pretty good achievement in your high school life...But...at what cost did you get?

You smiled
