Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Part 1. The Lemurian Star

All knowing pov

A few months have past since Jack joined the avengers and even though he hates to admit it, he likes being an avenger and he likes being part of a family-like group

Over the past months he's been growing closer to Steve and Natasha and he even thinks of the rest of the group as his friends too

Today started with a warm summer morning and Steve was running laps around a park in New York

A shield recruit called Sam Wilson was running there too and every time Steve would catch up with Sam, Sam got more jokingly annoyed by the super soldier

"On your left" Steve said passing Sam once again

"Uh huh on my left, got it" Sam said out of breath in a sarcastic and comedic way

Steve was starting to catch up with Sam again and Sam noticed

"Don't say it! Don't say it!" Sam jokingly yelled before Steve passed him

"On your left" Steve said again

"Oh come on!" Sam yelled and sped up to try and catch up with captain America

Of course he would never catch up with Steve because he was a super human and impossible to out run if you didn't have any superpowers of your own

Sam groaned but managed to finish his laps after Steve finished his

As he was catching his breath, Sam was sitting against a tree with his hand on his stomach to try and push the pain away

"Need a medic?" Steve walked up to him with a smile

"A new set of lungs maybe" Sam joked

"Dude, you just ran like 13 miles in 30 minutes" Sam said with heavy breath

"Guess I got a late start" Steve joked at his under performance

"You should be ashamed of yourself and take another lap" Sam joked along

"What unit you with?" Steve asked as he noticed the shield logo on sam's sweater

"58th Pararescue" Sam answered
"But now I'm working down at the VA" Sam added before gesturing for Steve to pull him up from the ground

"Sam Wilson" he introduced himself

"Steve Rogers" Steve said as he pulled Sam up

"Kind of put that together" Sam said bending over as he was still out of breath

"Must have freaked you out coming home after the whole defrosting thing" Sam said standing up more straight Now

"It takes some getting used to" Steve answered

"It was Good to meet you Sam" Steve said Before walking away

"It's your bed right?" Sam asked randomly

"What's that?" Steve pardoned him

"Your bed. It's too soft" Sam said
"When I was over there I'd sleep on the ground and use rocks for pillows like a caveman" Sam said
"Now I'm home, lying in my bed and it's like lying on a-"

"Lying on a marshmallow" Steve joked and finished the sentence

"Feel like I'm gonna sink right to the floor" Steve added

It was obvious now that they were talking about their time at war and Steve asked how long Sam had served

"Two tours" Sam said And Steve nodded as he was impressed
