Question
Author's note.
PERSONALITY PROFILE
1. People don't behave the same way all the time. In fact, they generally have a mask for every social group -- friends, family, business. Sometimes they have a different mask for different groups of friends. How does your character act around different people? How does their personality shift and change?
Tanganyika: I'm always happy around people. I try to be kind and helpful!
Zanzibar: She's naive and becomes mistrusting and paranoid around strangers.
I get softer and less cautious around people I trust.
Tanganyika: And Zuwena jokes more often around people she likes.
2. Your character has been brought to a party and promptly ditched. They don't have a ride back home. How does this work? How comfortable are they around all of these strangers? Do they interact?
Tanganyika: I'd be very scared and probably I'll search for a woman to trust. I'd just stay in the corner, close to others and I'd not drink at all something.
Zanzibar: First of all, who the f-.. who would ditch me? Second of all, I'd be paranoid but rather comfya round them. Probably interacting, getting a drink or two. Yea.
And calling Tanganyika to know I'm save. ...
She should do it too.
Tanganyika: But I don't have a phone!
Zanzibar: Then learn my number and borrow someone's phone!
3. It's kind of awkward - what subjects are likely to make your character hesitate, flush, stumble on their words, etc.?
Tanganyika: Oh well.. Uh.. Contact with boys, romance topics, me being clumsy.. Stuff like that.
Zanzibar: That I'm sweet.
I'm not.
I'm dangerous. Rawr.
Tanganyika: She's adorable! And my little sister!
Zanzibar: We're twins!
4. Is your character more dominant or submissive to the people around them? Do they tend to follow others' orders and wait for people to give them instruction in life, or do they charge ahead and make decisions on their own?
Tanganyika: I'm more independent relating to decisions and I dislike it if someone tells ne what to do but I'm physically dependent.
Zanzibar: I'm more of a dominant person.
5. What happens when your character doesn't get what they want?
Tanganyika: Oh! Zanzibar becomes grumpy and crosses her arms and then gives you the silent treatment!
Zanzibar: And you become an annoying child and ask constantly "why" before you get bored with it and do something else.
Tanganyika: Ludwig thinks it's adorable!
Zanzibar: Don't come with that a- Idiot.
6. What's the character's self-esteem like?
Tanganyika: I can do it! I'm pretty! I'm equal! I'm amazing!
Was that right?
Zanzibar: She's on her way.
I'm pretty self-confident.
a. Does it change over the course of the story?
