She gave him an appreciative smile, "Thank you, I needed that. Okay, I'm done with my emo moment. Time to get back to work!"

She hopped off, about to head off when Albert stopped her, "Hold it! Grandpa actually wanted to talk to you about something connected to all this."

"What, really?" Jeanne's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Okay then, I'll head back, see ya!!"

Albert laughed as he watched her dashed towards to the house, hoping what his grandfather knew would help her.

Jeanne burst through the front door, "JERRY!! WHERE ARE YOU? AL SAID YOU HAD SOMETHING FOR ME!!"

She was hopping from one room to another searching for the older man.

"JERRY!" she sang his name.

"I'M RIGHT HERE, GIRL!" he appeared from kitchen. "Damn, I may be old but I haven't lost my hearing."

"Oh, sorry," Jeanne giggled innocently. "So, about what Al told me?"

"Straight to the point, huh?" Jerry smirked exasperated. "Well, I guess that's a good thing. Come on, need to get to my office."

Jeanne skipped behind, Jerry trying not to smile too much at how amusing her behavior was. Just a few weeks before, the girl had been quiet and demure, like a scared mouse. The first week alone she had not come out of her room and barely gotten out of bed. Now, it was like the dark cloud that had held her down had been lifted. He pondered if it was because of his family. Ever since the incident with his grandmother, Eveline, the Slades had kept their eyes and ears peeled for any word of others who had transmigrated. Eveline herself had been the one to start looking into the matter of Travelers, what she came to call those like herself. However, something made Jerry especially curious about Jeanne. She had come to them, not the other way around as it usually was the case. Why was that?

"Come on in," Jerry opened the door, Jeanne rushing to her seat in front of his desk.

He couldn't help but snicker at her childish antics. It was adorable.

"All right," Jerry said as he sat behind his desk, placing a few binders on it for Jeanne to look at. "These contain some of the information we have on transmigration."

Jeanne instantly snatched one of the binders, reading carefully what was written

Record 1B.72 – Report of Initial Transmigration Incidents

The earliest found evidence of an individual's confirmed transmigration from one world to another had been found in the Highlands of Ireland.

Person in question is one Doris Cartley. Interviewed by Field Agent Samuel McCloud. Written copy of transcript available below.

Wait, McCloud? That was Saoirse's last name. Did that mean...?

"Keep reading," Jerry urged her, taking a drink from his coffee.

Date of Interview August 3rd, 1862.

"1862?!" Jeanne shouted, bewildered eyes looking to Jerry who just nodded.

She continued reading.

McCloud: "Very well, it is the 3rd of August. The year 1862. I am Agent Samuel McCloud here with Ms. Doris Cartley, who wishes to share her experience concerning her transmigration. I have Monitor Reginald Smith acting as inscriber for the course of the interview. Let us begin. Ms. Cartley, let us start with the basic questions. What is your full name, birthday, country of origin?"
