JJ continued to look around the wires of the lock on the safe. She felt the electricity and found the wire. With careful precision she snapped the wire. One of the walls opened up and JJ placed a block of fake vibranium to hold it up. She reached her hand into the hole it created and opened a small door to the right of the battery. She opened it and held all of the wires carefully before short circuiting all of them. A beeping noise came from the safe and JJ cut off the power to the alarm.
This was a complicated job and JJ was sweating through her curls. The red head took her hand out of the hole and let it close. On the back of the safe she pressed the plug's outlet into the safe and it snapped. Calmly, the teen sent a small bolt of electricity that turned the door back on.
It opened slightly enough for her hand to reach in and grab the container holding the battery. She shut the safe and yelled, "Time."
The illusion dropped and the judgemental faces of Che, Lou, and Bonnie met hers.
"6:48 seconds."
"I'll do it in less," JJ assured them.
"You better, or we're all dead." Che walked back to her computer.
"Thanks for the boost of confidence," JJ rolled her eyes and went back to the blueprint for the safe. Bonnie continued to download Stark coding copies onto her computer and discreetly download it into her other computer and delete any evidence of it being on either computer.
The girls worked diligently until night time. Lou and JJ went to bed together while the blonde and raven haired girl stayed awake.
Che continued quietly working on her project until she was sure JJ was sleeping.
"Sooo," Che dragged on her words while turning to look at Bonnie. "Are we gonna talk about it?"
"Talk about what?" Bonnie's eyes didn't leave the computers.
"The unusually large elephant in the room."
Bonnie sighed and turned to face Che.
"You should be asking JJ this, not me."
"Ok you heard those words right?" Che stuck her hands out to defend herself. "Asking JJ Goddamn Sommers, about her past? Excuse you but I choose life."
Bonnie laughed at her words. "It is not my place to tell you what happened to her."
"Yeah but I know some of it," Che inched closer. "Like the mission/killing her girlfriend-"
Bonnie jumped to close Che's mouth. "Keep your voice down. She could hear you."
"She's sleeping, chill." Che moved Bonnie's hand.
"Still, I'm not getting in the middle of that conversation."
"Ok fine, you won't tell me and JJ'd look after a toddler before telling me-"
"Yeah she does hate kids."
"So then I'll just do my own looking."
"What!??" Bonnie was appalled at Che's words. "Look, you may want answers. But trust me, if you go snooping in other people's past, you wont like what you find."
"Yeah kinda like our Red Room fiasco." Che laughed.
"I may never understand how you're so good at joking about your literal death." Bonnie turned again to look at the computer.
"Well, I guess I'm just that cool." She turned back to the cameras.
The room was quiet until a small shout of joy came from Bonnie's bed.
