First Date

Y/n's POV
I've known Will for a really long time; 10 years to be exact. He's my childhood best friend. I met him in kindergarten and we hit it off right away.
We've stayed close for all these years,always hanging out. Since neither one of us is good with people, we normally hang out at one of our houses. And, if we're feeling a bit tired of being closed up inside, we go to our special spot.
It's a small hidden beach behind Will's house.
Whenever we go there, we stay late into the night, dancing to music one of us plays with our phones.

A few months back, I realized that I had developed a crush on Will. And I had made up my mind. Today. Today I was going to ask him on a date.

Will's POV
I went up to y/n before class started and I noticed they were acting off. Like they were nervous. Wait... did we have a test today? No. No we didn't.
So what's up with them?

Third Person POV
Will walked up behind y/n and tapped them on the shoulder, causing them to jump.

"Y/n? Are you okay?" asked Will

"Huh? Oh yeah of course. I gotta head to class I'll see you at lunch okay?" replied y/n

Will looked at y/n suspiciously before replying with an 'Alright' and walking off to his class.

Y/n's POV
I practically run to my class, embarrassed by Will. Because of him,I was so distracted throughout class. I barely got any work done. But I didnt care.
The bell rang, pulling me from my thoughts. Lunchtime.
I packed up as fast as I could and bolted to Will and I's spot underneath the bleachers.
I wait there for him for a couple minutes before deciding I wanted to try and scare him. I dropped my bag and hid behind some of the thicker bars.
I peak my head out to see him making his way over to me.

"Y/n? Where are you?" he said, while looking around for me.

I jumped out and yelled boo.

"Jesus you scared me" said Will, lightly chuckling.

"That was the point" I said laughing at him.

So we sat and talked for a bit before I interrupted him.

"Will? I have something to tell you"

He looked at me, slightly confused and said "What is it?"

I started having second thoughts but before I let that stop me, I blurted out,

"Will I really like you and wanted to ask you out on a date!"

Will froze and his jaw dropped a bit and after a minute, he spoke,

"Wait are you serious?"

I dipped my head, thinking I just screwed up my relationship with my best friend.

He ran up to me and picked me up in a hug, spinning around.

"I like you too shorty!"

Will's POV
When y/n said they like me, I froze. Like I full on froze. I was so happy to hear them say that. I've liked y/n for a long time.
When I felt like I could actually move again, i ran up to them, and picked them up in a hug and spun then around.
