[A/N: IS THE CHAPTER OUT OR IS THE CHAPTER OUT LETS FACKING GOOOOOO!]

Jungkook had people over. Not many — Yoongi, Yugyeom, Jin, a friend from his hometown — an amount. It's the first time he is feeling this underprepared.

Jimin is walking through his house like a meerkat, taking his time tracing his fingers over the shelves and the furniture, studying his living space and Jungkook's reaction to the questions he asks about any and everything, like the people in the framed photos Jungkook brought from America, the designer of the interior space, how long Jungkook thinks it will take him to wear out that expensive couch in the corner, and where he can find something looking close to a hammock.

Jungkook shakes his head, and they both know it's nothing but a funny gesture bearing fondness.

"First things first. Can I get you anything to drink?" he asks, walking backwards to the kitchen area where Jimin follows him with a spring on his steps.

"You don't drink."

Jungkook stops shorts of the fridge. "Non-alcoholic drinks count as drinks, you know," he passes the man a playful glance, earning himself a good-natured clap. He laughs to himself, grabbing two bottles of lime-flavored soft drinks. Jimin approves of it when he holds them in the air questioningly. "You think I'm no fun."

"I wouldn't take it that far."

"But you could."

"It kind of explains why you are uptight sometimes, doesn't it?"

"Ouch. You are gonna diss me at my own house?" Jungkook hands him a drink after flipping their lids off with a bottle-opener.

"I have been promised of a hammock that I wasn't granted with. I'd say I'm pretty salty," Jimin shrugs smartly, trying not to laugh at the struck expression on Jungkook's face as he takes a sip of the drink.

"Literally zero trust in this relationship," Jungkook says as he leads them to the backyard. He ignores the teasing comebacks to his brave joke, a lot more confident in his own space.

One of the reasons why he loves this house is because it embodies his best traits. Jungkook put an effort into making this a comfortable cocoon, knowing that he needs to hide sometimes from the chaos of the world but that he doesn't want to feel sidetracked doing it. That meant tons of open space, soft-rounded walls, woodsy details, soft colors, subtle lighting and a well-adorned garden. (He has been thinking about getting a cat in forever but his schedule won't allow him to care for it properly, and Jungkook is not the type to adopt an animal only to abandon it.) The result of house-hunting for weeks and a decor plan brought him to this marvel of the JK Mansion.

His confidence has just roofed and he is riding it. It's easy, in Jimin's presence.

He is mind-blown, for one thing, at the sight of the amenities in the garden.

"You have a personal pool?!"

When pointed out, it sounds privileged so Jungkook keeps it humble — usually. Right now he is particularly feeling in the mood to show off a bit, so he does stuff his fingers on the tight pockets of his ripped jeans and puff his chest, nods with a smug face that has Jimin acknowledge him for owning up to it.

"This is so cool," he stresses every word, giving turns in the garden, taking in the Led lights, the pretty reflection the pool leaves on their bodies, the "sports equipment, damn. You exercise at home."

Jungkook nods cutely. "It's convenient."

Jimin is about to answer that but as soon as he sees the hammock he takes off.
