You finished all tasks at the wine industry for today. You made sure your attire wasn't dirty as you wanted to go into Diluc's office to ask him a question.

When arriving at his office, you stood infront of the door way. Diluc looked up and saw you standing there with your hands behind your back. He fixed his posture in his chair then went back to staring at you.

" Sir Diluc, may I come in? "

" The doors open for a reason you know. " he waved for you to come in.

" I have finished all tasks that needed to be done here today, may I have permission to leave and go do my tavern shift? " you spoke with a soft voice.

" A tavern shift? " Diluc raised an eyebrow.

" Yes Sir Diluc, the manager had said that I was on tonight as he had business to attend too. " you stated.

" I know of no such business he's attending too. " Diluc's faced changed as he was confused and annoyed at the same time.

" My apologise Sir Diluc! " you waved your arms infront of your face.

" it's not your fault, more mine then anything. " he bluntly said.

" How is it your fault? I'm confused, if possible- could you care to explain? "

" I haven't been keeping up with the tavern as much as I should and need to be. As for my actions lately resulting in you and who ever else to be working on other people's shifts for their benefit and none of your own. " Diluc said that all in one breath.

" oh.. so he was using me then " you frowned, you had the feeling the manager was but you ignored it.

" don't worry, it will change and no one will use you for their personal needs. I'll be heading to the tavern with you tonight. Y/n, please could you fetch me my keys for the Wine industry? " Diluc grabbed some paper work and sorted it into a neat pile ontop of his desk.

" as you wish. " you smiled.

You waited outside for Diluc as he was locking up the place. Watching his tall figure you soon came to be admiring him. You got lost in thought as you were thinking about how you and Diluc would transport to Monstadt.

" Is something the matter y/n? Hmm " Diluc asked standing infront of you now.

" oh no Sir Diluc, I was just thinking that was all. " you said reassuring him.

" Well we best be off now. " Diluc began walking, you quickly followed behind him.

" Sir Diluc, what will happen now that I'm your assistant? " You questioned.

" To set things straight, personal assistant is what you are. Secondly, things won't change as much for you as your already accustomed to how I run things but in saying that there will be some new things for you. " he looked over his shoulder to see you looking back at him.

" Personal assistant, yes you're right. " you nodded.

" I know I am, " he whispered to himself

" so why are we both going to the tavern? Do you have business there tonight? " you asked.

" for the same reason you were supposed to be going there, to do a
' shift '. "
" Oh and too speak with the manager of my tavern. " he grunted.

" will you be having a go at him? I didn't mind working when he asked me too.. " you looked to the side.

" Hmm, to have a go at him is putting it... kindly. I would say to fire him. " Diluc responded.

" F-fire him... is that what you'll really do? " you were now looking back at him as concerned crossed your face.

" something wrong? Do you not agree with my choice in dealing with him? " Diluc stopped and turned to face you.

" no your choice, judgment, approval, opinions and more is final. I have no right to question or share any opinions or advice on situations. " you remember what one of the waitresses told you on your first day working for the Wine industry and tavern.

Flash back;
" If it is what Master Diluc wants, wishes or needs- that is final, no questions, opinions or judgment is to be made if you want to stay working for him either at the wine industry or tavern. If he askes you of anything, have no hesitation, do it without a second thought. May you be injured when protecting or serving Master Diluc, have no complaints. He is in charge no one but him. He must be pleased, don't act like a child or cause trouble for him. "

Present;

Somehow you kept that conversation in the back of your head when working. All the time you'd think of her words when she offered you the job. To be blessed with a good paying job to keep you alive, you had no second thoughts and completely given yourself to Diluc and everything he needs or wants.

Now that you're his personal assistant, living by those rules were all but necessary.

" Did Maxwell or his sister ever speak to you? It sounded like something the two would say. " he questioned.

Character Info;
Maxwell is a bar tender at the tavern and sometimes helped clean around the wine industry when Diluc needed him too. His sister Rosaí was a cleaner at just the tavern and a waitress.

" They've been working with and for me for a long time it only makes sense it was one of them that said something like that to you. They are quite the loyal friends and work mates those two. " Diluc spoke with pride and honesty when speaking of the two siblings.

" you are right, Rosaí told me quite alot of things to do and not to do, also helpful advice " you added.

" this is the first time I've had a long conversation with you now that I think of it.. " you said out loud, you covered your mouth as you realised.

Diluc stood there for a moment looking at you, he crossed his arms and stood tall.

" yes, you're correct. " Diluc replied.

" being my personal assistant, there will be much more conversations between the two of us alone and with whomever else " he stated, then walking once again.

" Sir Diluc do you have any other personal assistants? " you asked walking beside him now.

" I have assistants that have different jobs for me other then working at the wine industry and tavern yes but a personal assistant no, you're the first. " Diluc said with no expression.

" so this is new to you as much as it is to me then.. that makes me feel better " you replie.

Diluc just nodded to you in response, you guys were nearly at the bridge crossing over into Monstadt.

The knights acknowledged Diluc's existence but not your own. You didn't mind as you thought nothing of it but Diluc on the other hand took it as a sign of disrespect .

" Knights of Favonius... " he said not pleased, " Y/n is my personal assistant, I'd like it if you informed Jean or.. Kaeya of this matter so if they have anything concerning me but I can not be there, Y/n is the person to go to. Got it. " he crossed his arms over once more, staring at both guards at the bridge.

" yes Sir! " both men shouted and bowed as he walked in, you followed and they got up and bowed for you as well.

" y/n respect is something that people must earn, sometimes it can be given as so, you should be respected at all times. In my opinion everyone should have respect for eachother but it's easier said then done. " he continued on while walking with you to the tavern.
