Diluc was a busy man to say the least, dealing with the wine industry and other things, he was wrapped up most of the time.

You worked for him at the wine industry and sometimes you did shifts at the tavern when they were short staffed. You always said yes to anything that was asked of you, it didn't matter if you weren't sure if you could do it either.

Some people took advantage of that. You arnt stupid but the kindness in your heart tells you otherwise when it comes to situations where people are using you for their own needs.

One day, a maid at the wine industry fell ill so she asked if you could take her shift instead until she got better, knowing you- you agreed happily as she was struggling to even hold a broom stick right. You had to run this by your boss first, it went well as you were the best client they've had, you always do your jobs and others well so they had no problem with it.

You got the list of things your work friend needed to do at the wine industry and began working. You also had to do your own jobs at both wine industry and tavern.

Diluc was sitting out at the table eating some lunch as he left his work office finally giving himself a break from paper works. He always knew what clients were working and what day, he wanted to be a good CEO. So of course he took notice that it was only you at the wine industry instead of 2 maids all together.

He watched as you happily cleaned one area to the next, then you would switch to complete your jobs like sorting out the paper works into the correct pile for Diluc to eventually read through.

He placed his hand around his cup and noticed it was empty, he put the cup back down on the table. You saw that it was empty so you quickly stopped what you were doing and went to the kitchen and fetched him some ice cold water.

You walked up to the table with a jug of clear water in your hands. You bow before him catching his attention.

" Yes, Y/N ? "
" Sir, I have cold water for you. " you smiled.

" I don't feel like water, it's alright though. Thank you " Diluc gave a small nod.

" Sir, permission to speak? " you said.
" Yes ".
" You've been at the paper work since- 4am, when I got here. You haven't eaten a proper meal until now, and you've drunk coffee for the last 2 days. Please don't over work yourself, take care of yourself! You can start by drinking some water " you smile at him.

He leaned back into his chair and closed his eyes, resting his chin on his hand. With the available hand he reached for the cup and put it infront of you. You smiled and poured him a cup of water. You placed the jug on the table and walked back to the paper sorting.

He opened his eyes and seen you back at the paper sorting. He gave a faint hum as he watched you sort the papers rather quickly. He noticed something, as he was now observing you and all you did.

"Y/n, could you come over here? " he said with a firm voice but smoothing tone.

You walked back to the table and bowed once more. Then holding your hands with eachother you wait for his words.

" Take a sit, I have a couple of questions. " he looked at the chair to his right, so you sat there, now infront of him.

" where is the other maid and why are you doing her job? " Diluc questioned.

" she is sick sir, I took over her jobs willingly " you said trufully.

" next question, have you been paying attention to me this whole time? When you last spoke to me it seemed as if you were keeping tract of everything I had done up to that moment " he said leaning to grab his cup and hold it on his lap.

" yes sir, I was.. but I meant no rudeness by it! I just wanted to make sure you were alright. " you looked down.

" thank you, for the water " he said.

" it's my job to do anything for you if and when needed sir. "

" Well, please stop calling me sir, address me by Diluc. That's the other thing I wanted to mention. "

" yes sir Diluc " you responded back.

" I- * coughs * that's fine by me I guess.. "

" Y/n, one last question if you will? "

" anything sir Diluc "

" would you work with me? I mean as my assistant. "

" oh wow- s-sorry that was just all of a sudden! Why me though..? "

" you seem good with paper work and I deal with that alot now, not only that you know how to clean well so you can clean for me personally, my room if needed and so on. I have seen records of you working at the tavern so that just makes it alot more easier to have another person with me when working. " he stated.

" if it is as you wish then I'm happy to do anything you ask of me! " you cheered and clap your hands together.

" Well from today onwards, you are my personal assistant. " he tilted his head and then stood up.

" one last thing y/n, take a drink of water for me, that is your first assignment  before you continue many others. " He walked back into his office but this time leaving the door open, you stare back to his cup and drink some water. The water made you feel better as well, you took his dishes to the kitchen and cleaned them, also putting the jug of water back.
