Epilogue

"Jai, let's go?" I held my out hand to Jairus who just got out of school.

His ninang said she couldn't pick him up because they had an emergency meeting. Mabuti na lang at nasa site lang ako nang tawagan niya ako.

"Tita mommy!" He said as he ran to me. My sweet boy.

I hugged him to welcome him, at malugod naman ako nitong niyakap pabalik. Even though I badly wanted to carry him, he became heavier than the time we first met each other. I held his hand and grabbed his small Captain America bag as we happily went to the parking lot.

"Where do you want to eat?" I asked him while he was seated at the backseat secured by a seatbelt.

"Hmm? Anywhere." He answered.

I shook my head. Manang-mana ka sa ninang mo. Kahit saan din ang sagot mo, in english lang.

"Jollibee?" I asked him again when we stopped for the traffic.

"Yehey, Jollibee!" Pumalakpak pa ito.

I chuckled. Ang gwapo gwapong bata, Jollibee lang pala ang katapat.

"Jollibee it is then." Mahinang sabi ko at lumiko pa-Jollibee.

"Is mommy ninang busy?" He asked while he was dipping the fries in his sundae.

Hinimay ko ang chicken para hindi siya mahirapan, pagkatapos hinalo naman ang spaghetti. I didn't know how he could finish these but good thing all I ordered was burger, so in case he couldn't finish his food I can eat the rest of it.

Time flew so fast. He was just a baby when I first saw him at the mall. Now, he's three and very talkative. He also has this very charismatic face and attractive smile. Girls will surely cry over this kid someday. Aside from that, he is also noticeably very smart. One reason why he's sent to school at an early age. He kinda reminds me of Edric. Only that Jai smiles and talks a lot.

"Yes. She had an important meeting. So you better finish your food para hindi magalit ang mommy ninang mo." Sabi ko rito.

He nodded and obediently followed my instruction. I smiled. Marahan kong ginulo ang buhok niya at hinayaan siyang kumain.

"Hi, excuse me." A guy in a white short sleeved polo suddenly appeared in front of us.

Out of instinct niyakap ko si Jai at pinaupo sa lap ko.

"Yes?" I asked the guy.

"Uh, hi.. Uhm.. Are you architect Samantha Lopez?" He asked. I noticed his blue lanyard with a written company name on it.

"Yes, why?" Kalmado pero walang emosyon kong tanong.

"Hi, we're from Global Studios and we're just wondering if we could invite you for an interview." Nahihiya pero lakas loob nitong tanong sa akin.

He even showed me his ID for verification.

"Oh, okay... Well, just e-mail my secretary, he'll help you schedule an appointment." I smiled at him.

"Alright ma'am, salamat po ng marami. By the way, I'm Pete, story producer ng Global Studios." He extended his hand to shake mine. "We were just having lunch when we saw you. I apologize if I approached you in the middle of your meal. Nastarstruck lang po kami na nandito kayo." Paliwanag niya matapos makipag-kamay sa akin.

"It's alright, Pete. No worries." Muli ko itong nginitian at nagpaalam na ito para bumalik sa mga kaopisina niya.

His officemates pushed him playfully when he got back to their table. I shook my head. Parang kami lang nila Iñigo.
