chapter four - plan

"What do you have planned Loki?" you asked, some authority to your tone. Loki stayed silent, pondering his next choice of words. He clasped your hands with his own. His hands are cold to the touch, and quite soft, his skin against yours soothed your worrying thoughts of what going on within his head. You take a deep breath, and look up at him. His eyes are focused on you, not looking away making you freeze up. 

"I'll tell you soon, please trust me.." you pause for a moment, before deciding to nod your head. This was definitely not the answer you were hoping for, but what were you supposed to do with this matter. Loki smiled nervously, you returning a more genuine one. Thor has always been so straightforward for you, but with Loki you never really understand what's going on in his head. Nothing ever makes quite much sense, his presence and sincerity makes your decisions easy with him. There's something that makes you trust him, makes you vulnerable. Loki leans in towards you, your heart beat picks up once again. He inches closer, your cheeks flushing pink. Before your brain could process anything, he quickly turns his head away.

"Y/N.! I knew that I'd find you.. here." yours and Loki's attention was quickly drawn away from each other and directed towards the entrance of the library where a confused Sif stood. Loki let go of yours hands, brushing his off on his clothes. Your mind was running through possibilities of what your sister could be thinking, as you all just stood there in awkward silence. In all honesty you didn't even know what was going on, what could've happened, what was going to happen. "What's going on here?" Sif questions, slight disgust shown upon her face. 

"Nothing Sif, we were just having a conversation." you smile widely at your sister, earning a raised eyebrow from her. Sif nods her head, not believing you. A distance voice calls your sisters name, making her take her leave. You sigh. "I'll talk to you later Y/N!" Sif shouts from outside.

"I'm sorry," he laughs sheepishly. "It is a bit my fault." 

"I suppose it is." Loki smirks as your eyes lock. The intensity of his bright intimidating green eyes make you look away. "What were you going to do..?" Loki chuckles nervously and turns away, his back facing you.

"I'm not really sure Y/N.." you carefully place your hand on his shoulder, he smiles to the feeling of your touch. "Whatever we decided to do.." Loki started to make his leave, leaving you almost stunned in place. "I'll see you later.. tonight." he added the word 'tonight' at the last second before disappearing into the dark hall.

You were sat on your bed in silence, you weren't sure of your feelings for Loki. In such a short time he became a close friend, but he was nothing more. Right? Half the time you weren't always sure if Loki even considered you his friend, with how strange he is at times. You've never felt more confused with yourself. For years you've found yourself longing to be with Thor, praying for the day he sees you the way you see him. Maybe it was just never meant to be with Thor, maybe you were meant to only stay as friends. After tonight's event, your mind doesn't run to Thor, but Loki. Actually the past few nights have been Loki, ever since the first night at the library. Everything about him makes you feel so warm and safe inside, his smile could make anything bad or cruel disappear.

What has he done to me..?

You rub your temple before standing up, deciding you need a walk to clear your head of the brothers, especially Loki. Getting out of bed, you grab your night robe off the top of your dresser, putting it on. Once you finish tying it, you head to your bedroom door, grabbing the doorknob. Upon opening it you're surprised to find Loki standing in front of your room, about to knock. He smiled sweetly and lowered his hand. He did say he'd see you later tonight, but you weren't completely expecting him to show up at your room. Gathering your thoughts, you begin to speak, which Loki did as well.
