REPOST: My Little one; Toothless x baby dragon reader

'I'm sorry little one, I haven't. You see I thought I was the only Night-fury around here. I've never met anyone else of my kind in a really long time, so I was surprised to smell your scent and find you here'.

'What is that creature that came with you? Is he bad?'

'No little one, he's my best friend. My brother. His name is Hiccup and he is the Alpha of his nest. He's what we call a human but I promise you he won't hurt you'. My tummy growled angrily again which made me curl up shamefully. 'You know, if you come with us, there will be tons of fish for you to eat. There are other dragons and humans that will help take care of you'.

'Will mommy and daddy be there?' At that question he didn't respond to me right away but after a bit of silence he answered me with this.

'I can promise you this. If you come with us, I promise to protect you. I'll keep you safe from anyone or anything that may appear scary to you. I promise to make sure your well fed and taken care of, and I promise to be your protector like your own father would've been. But and this is if you wish too, if you choose to leave; my brother and I will leave you alone and I promise to not allow anyone to try and find you. You will be kept a secret and I won't tell any of the other dragons about you'. He backed away from my den slowly but kept his eyes on me allowing me the chance to either go with him or run away and find a new hiding place.

I cautiously and slowly got out of my den for the first time in a really long time. I felt water hit my scales then when another big boom sounded off I ran right towards him frightenedly and curled up into him. He wrapped his wings around me and nuzzled me gently licking me as he purred comfortingly.

'It's okay little one, it's okay'.

'What is it that makes those scary noises?'

'This is what we call a thunderstorm. Rain falls harder from the sky and thunder booms in the sky and the bright flash that you see is called lightning'.

'I don't like it, it's scary'.

'I know little one, I know. But I'm here now, it can't hurt you, not while I'm here'. It was then the human known as Hiccup came up and he said to us and he said.

"Everything okay here Toothless?" The grown up Nightfury that I now know is named Toothless nodded and gently lowered his wings letting me get a good look at his brother.

He was indeed different than anything I had ever seen before. He had pale skin and wore what looked like black and brown armor all over his body, he also had brown fur on top of his head, light hair was growing around his mouth and he had green eyes like Toothless did. One of his legs was silver like a jeweled rock but at the foot of it, it was rounded like a hoof or something.

"Hey there little guy, I'm not sure if this guy told you or not but my names Hiccup, we're here to get you some place warm for the night, you wanna come with us?" He slowly held out his hand but didn't touch me. I turned to Toothless and he nodded telling me to show him I understood what was happening.

I raised my head and sniffed his hand until I finally leaned up against it and he gently stroked down my head.

"Alright, now I'm going to wrap this around you, don't worry it won't hurt you, it'll hopefully keep you dry long enough for us to get you back to Berk. Just in case you're injured we don't wanna make you fly just yet". He then took out what looked like a long and flat wing with a head-like oval and wrapped it around me gently which did made me feel warm and protected from the rain. "Okay bud, we gotta get this little guy to mom right away". I was soon on top of Toothless in Hiccup's arms and soon the ground got smaller and smaller as we began to fly.

Soon we reached a big nest with fire lit up in different places in big cavern homes and we soon reached a very big cave on the hill and Hiccup cried out for his mother.

"What is it Hiccup?"

"You—oh man you are not gonna believe what Toothless and I found," I was then uncovered and before me was a woman with orange/grey fur on top of her head, the same green eyes as Hiccup did and her scent was covered in dragon scents.

"Hiccup—is—is that?"

"Yes mom, we found them in the woods abandoned, there were no parents in sight not a single Nightfury but was there but this one". She gently stalked up to me and held out her hand which instantly made me nuzzle her. I was then taken into her arms and nuzzled by her which made me nuzzle her back purring happily.

"Alright, let's see what we have here," I was then set on a wooden plank with legs at the bottom and the woman gently set me on my back and played with the scales underneath my chin. "She's three weeks old".

"So it's a girl?"

"Yes Hiccup, the first female baby Nightfury I have ever seen. But unfortunately she is malnourished and will need intensive care for a couple of weeks. Other than that I can't find any injuries or broken limbs, she just needs some love and attention, don't you?" She then bobbed her head at me which made me do the same as I grumbled deep in my throat which made both Hiccup and his mother laugh.

I then let out a tired yawn and it was then Toothless came up and picked me up with his jaws and carried me over to another wooden board this time this one was down to the ground leveled with stone. He set me down then got up and fired a gentle fire blast in a circle to warm up the board then he picked me back up and placed me right next to him underneath his protective wings and half finned tail.

"Seems Toothless has already taken the role of Father Nightfury already" stated Hiccup.

"He's finally found someone of his kind to raise as his own, who knows how long it would be if we found another nightfury let alone a female one. Though he may not have a mate to help him, I have a feeling Toothless will be a great father to this little one" said Valka lovingly as she stroked her son's cheek. She then left the room as did Hiccup leaving Toothless and I alone to sleep.

The next few days I was coopted up in my new daddy's wings never allowed to leave until I was given the okay which made me bored beyond belief. I ate tons of fish and was given lots of milk to drink. My wings were also flapping a lot more as I longed to fly now but daddy says that I still need to wait then he'll teach me how to fly.

He told me stories of how he and Hiccup first met and how in his act of mercy, their friendship was born even under secret. He told me how they both defeated the evil Queen dragon that once ran his old home and killed his family but at the cost of Hiccup's leg. He also told me the story of how he became the Alpha Dragon by defeating a cruel human named Drago who wanted to control the world by using us dragons as weapons but thank to him, Hiccup and his family and friends they defeated him and both he and Hiccup became the Alphas' of their nests.

Wow my new daddy is so cool!

Finally it came the day with Miss Valka gave me the all clear for leaving the den and venturing outside for the first time in forever! She was proud of my getting better and allowed daddy to take me outside and meet the other dragons.

Once we got outside, I took in all the smells and sights this place had to offer. I then saw a few chickens nearby, I got into a stalking position when I was suddenly picked up and then put back down away from the chickens.

'You my little Nótt are more mischievous than the Terrible Terrors' said daddy. Hiccup have given me the name Nótt from one of the 'Gods' stories' that he sometimes reads to me for bedtime, and due to the fact I was found at nighttime around midnight according to him and that inspired him to give me the name Nótt.

'Daddy! Let go!' I laughed. He nuzzled me lovingly and began to give me a bath before we continued our walk through Berk and he told me where everything was all the while greeting everyone and accepting the dragon's as they bowed to their Alpha.

I may not have known where I first came from or who my real parents were, but now I've got a whole new family, a new daddy and a brand new life that'll treat me well. I'm glad my daddy and Hiccup found me and I can't wait to start my new life and have fun adventures with them.
