'To hell?' You couldn't help but want to laugh or cry but it ended up being a bit of both.

The fact that your brother was here in front of you, ready to protect the three of you no matter the cost warmed your heart. His character has grown since he met Ava, just like mine did.

I hope she recognizes this and gives him a chance of forgiveness I believe he earned.

"Asch- you're alive?" Your father spoke in shock. You couldn't tell if his disbelief was forced or genuine. You turned your head, ignoring the pain, to analyze the look on Rhal's face.

He was smug, maybe your father was being genuine.

You scoffed to yourself. 'Who am I kidding? That man doesn't have a genuine bone in his body.'

Rhys, Noi, and Pierce soon joined your brother on the stage. Asch smiled wickedly towards the crowd and pointed towards his knights.

"I'm warning all of you, another rock and my knights will help me personally ensure you meet your demise."

You shivered at his words and Ava was terrified. You turned your head and saw Leif licking his lips, desperate to get in on the action. He was acting like the kill-crazed assassin the citizens of Daemos would expect from him, but you knew that he was just as relieved to see them as you were.

Your father growled in rage, confirming your suspicion that he was just acting early and lunged towards your brother. You were stunned into utter silence because not once has your father tried to do a single thing for himself.

You tried to scream out to your brother but no words would escape, you closed your eyes tightly and allowed the tears to stream out. You couldn't bare to watch your father behead your brother.

Instead of screams of horror, you heard the sound of swords clashing.

You looked up, full of curiosity, and saw Leif had held his sword against your father's. You looked back to his pole and wondered how he could've possibly escaped such tight binds. Your eyes were met with Rhys twirling Leif's chain around his hand. You couldn't help but smile.

"Keep your guard up prince! We haven't won this yet!" Leif called and the tears kept coming. You couldn't help but stare in awe at the male you loved. He trained to become an assassin, but here was a man of honor. A knight. You found yourself remembering a time when Leif told you he wasn't ever going to be deserving enough for such noble work.

Even with all that doubt he stored, here he was, braver than you thought he ever was before.

You felt your chains release from your body, and you turned to meet Noi. "I figured I owed you one Princess, since you've dedicated your life to saving others." He was smiling bashfully and you jumped up and hugged the male tightly.

"You're my hero Noi." You spoke but he shook his head and pushed you softly towards your green-eyed love.

"No, he is. Now go remind him why you're his." Noi smiled and you nodded with a bright smile on your face. You lit your fists in flames and approached your brother.

"Hey Rhal!" You called, rolling the R in his name as you approached him, "I think we have some catching up to do." You licked your lips maliciously and he couldn't help but smirk.

"How does a human lover expect to fight me?" He asked, but wasn't prepared or guarded for the fire-filled fist you slammed across his cheek.

"Like that." Your face was smug and you flicked your fingers and put out your flames, summoning a blade in your hand.
