No One Knows What I Know Now

I cried for the first time in ages.

"Don't hurt her!" I yelled, my throat hoarse. I whispered, "Don't hurt her."

My sister, Skye, yelled, "Cloud! H-Help me!" Her red locks were dripping wet, and her sea-glass green eyes, ones that were once so full of life, were now halfway gone into another world. Skye was only in her pajamas. She was all I had left, and now she was fading away before my own eyes. I can't believe this is happening to me.

Her normally fair skin was ghostly and unnatural. She reached out to grab my hand.

I felt nothing.

My name is Cloud Wickham, age 17, and I have lost my one and only sister.
