Sirius sighed and turned to face his best friend and Lily after finishing his reading. Both have the same expression of mixed emotions on their faces. Sad, happy, and dissatisfied.
He can't hold it against them. He, too, was dissatisfied with what he had just read. Hailey does not deserve this; she is far too pure and innocent to be treated in this manner. She does not deserve anything bad that is happening in her life. It's a harsh world out there.
Sirius has never felt so relate to anyone.
"Sirius?
When someone called for Sirius, he snapped out of his reverie. The person he didn't expect to call him is the one who is calling for him. Second, much to his surprise, she addressed him by his first name! It was always black.
"Oh, uhm well- yeah! Sure thing! " Sirius stuttered, losing his cool as he handed the girl the book. Their fingers brushed up against each other.
Marlene scoffed at the scene in front of her, while Regulus laughed silently and mentally facepalmed at how stupid his brother looked right now. A Black descendant loses his cool in front of a woman he always tries to impress.
Cecilia gave Sirius a smile before turning the page to the next chapter. She missed seeing what he had just done to the teen boy after smiling because her attention was drawn to the next chapter.
