Today was the last day of school before school let out for summer. Finally It seemed I could go free and not be buried under homework assignments. Megan Rose Williams was a girl in the past, a girl who went to Matthew W. Taylor High School during the school year. I left that girl behind, and a new girl nick named Meg appeared out of my old shadow. Right now I was living in Massachusetts where my mom lived. Since my parents were divorced, I only got to see my dad in the summer. He lived in sunny Los Angeles, California. In only a day I will finally be able to escape my boring mom with her job as a teacher and be able to live with my dad for the summer. My mom never really liked me as much as my older sister Kate, who always got straight A's and dressed perfectly everyday.
"Ugh! I don't have enough room in my suitcase for all my clothes!" I yelled."Well why don't I help you out little sis." Kate snickered. She grabbed one of my suitcases and dumped half of it out. My immediate reaction was to scream, but I didn't care anymore. In a a few hours I was going to be on a plane going to paradise.
