I opened my mouth, seeing him not take his gaze off me. "Ydris..." I spoke, unsure how much English he would know. "Where is he?"
He stayed still, not even taking in my words. He almost in a way seemed confused on why I was here, or unsure of what I said.
I opened my mouth again, about to speak before he pointed out towards the tent flap. I turned, assuming that he meant the wagon. I then looked at Xin one last time before I dashed out, my body somehow finding the last bit of strength I had. Before I knew it, I found myself face to face with the wagon door. The lights inside were on, giving the impression that Ydris was in there. I felt my stomach roll and the intense throbbing returned as I knocked on the door, unsure if he even heard it. There was a slight moment of hesitation before I saw the door handle unlock, soon turning and opening, relieving him. I felt the heat rise to my face as I looked at him, seeing him in the middle of undressing. The top three buttons of his shirt were undone, showing the sign that he was finished for the night.
"My dove, what are you doing here?" He asked, looking at me.
Seeing him again made every part of me feel safe again, the memories of Pandora fading. I then took off my riding gloves, knowing that I wouldn't be able to say it. Once I removed them, I held out my hand, noticing the realm had spreaded. Ydris's eyes left mine and went to my hand, his body going still as he looked at it, soon back at me. He then stepped back, gesturing for me to come as I walked up the steps, following his lead as I entered.
"Sit," I heard him say, pointing to the bed as he walked off, gathering supplies from the back.
I shut the door and did as told, letting out a breath as I removed my helmet, soon taking off my sweater. I squeezed my eyes shut as the movement caused my skin to distress, trying to swallow the pain. Another wave of nausea hit me as I rubbed my head, my ears starting to ring. After a few minutes, Ydris soon emerged, carrying a bucket with some type of liquid. I kept my eyes on my hands as I stared at the bright pink effect that was on it, soon feeling him sit behind me. He scooted himself closer to me, his breath soon touching my neck. I felt my body go into goosebumps as I felt his eyes linger over me, his gaze trying to reach mine as I ducked my head. I flinched lightly under his touch as he softly placed his fingers on one, tracing it over. My body, despite cold, went into a sweat at the touch of his hands, the feeling of nerves in my stomach growing. Once he finished tracing all of them, I felt the coolness of a cloth on my back. My body instantly relaxed, the inflamnious going down. He held it down softly on the one my shoulder, sensing that it had helped. I could sense his gaze traveling down me, the sense of concern visible as he moved the cloth away, putting it on the next one.
"Pandoras taken you badly ma cherie," he said, the sense of ease in his voice as he continued to place the cloth over the realms. "What caused it to be this bad?"
I swallowed, trying to get rid of the lump that formed in my throat. "Pandora's Soul," I spoke, my voice filled with fatigue.
I felt him go still for a moment, soon continuing on as I heard him dip it back in, soon squeezing it out as he waited for me to continue.
"We...we tried to destroy Pandora by getting rid of its soul," I continued, feeling myself starting to break. "We got separated and...were longer in there than expected."
I sucked in a breath, deciding to leave my encounter with Darko out. I didn't want to speak of it, nor tell Ydris about it. "I don't even know if it worked after all that," I admitted, the words just spilling out.
Ydris stayed silent, continuing to finish up with the runes before I felt him go over them one last time before he placed the cloth back in the bucket, feeling him scoot closer to me until his chest was rested lightly against my back. I kept my eyes on my hands as he bent his head down, his head in the crease of my neck as he lightly placed his hands around the lower parts of my arms.
"Are there any other ones besides the ones on your back?" He asked, his voice low.
I shook my head, feeling him then press his lips softly to my shoulder, holding it in his touch for a few seconds before he pulled away, getting off of the bed and putting the stuff away. I continued to look away as I heard him clean up, my eyes slightly glazed when I blinked. I then swallowed, feeling him wonder back over to me, crouching down until he was at my level, gently holding my chin and guiding it up to him. I then looked up, staring into his eyes as he shared a gaze with me, silent for a few minutes. My stomach continued to dance around as our eyes locked, the look of comfort accompanying him.
"What you did was dangerous my dove," he said softly. "In any other way, it could have been fatal."
I continued to keep my eyes with his, soon looking down as I thought back, sighing as I did so. I looked away for a few seconds, keeping my eyes fixated on the ground. I then felt him guide my chin upwards once more, making my eyes go back to his. I then saw him move closer, our foreheads touching before he lightly touched his lips to mine, pecking at them in almost a questioning manner. I took in his touch, feeling my heart skip a beat as I felt the familiar feeling return. He steadily settled in my touch when I worked my hands around him, pulling away lightly.
"I'm sorry," I said through our small breakaways as he took my touch again, keeping my mind settled on him as he didnt let me break away, my mind for once calm. We held each other for a bit before he pulled back, holding me lightly as he looked back at me, his eyes seeming to have a faint glow.
"The Pandoric realms will need treating," he said, "consistent treating."
He said the last bit with a sly grin as a small smile tugged at my mouth. I knew what he was going for, and exactly what my answer would be. I felt myself smile softly, feeling him kiss me lightly again. I held onto him for a few more seconds before he pulled away, standing back up and continuing to put the supplies away. I watched him, grabbing my phone as the screen lit up. As I looked, I saw a message from Linda. I was slightly surprised that she had messaged me so late, but slightly guilty as she was doing so. I felt like replying to her, but feared that she would know I was awake. I sighed, feeling the fatigue enter again. I then looked back up, seeing Ydris wander off back towards the back of the wagon, leaving me staring after him. I then slid off my boots and put my phone with them, soon working my way towards the front of the bed, crawling in and tucking myself underneath the covers. I let my body sink into the soft, cushy, mattress and soon pulled the covers up more when I got a light chill. I then closed my eyes, the runes having a slight tingly feeling as I did so. It didn't feel painful, or uncomfortable, but almost comfertarting. My body seemed relaxed as I let out a small breath, soon drifting off to sleep as rain started to come down.
