"Don't say that, senpai!" Kirishima cried out. "Eri-chan worked hard to plan a party! So let's all have a good time!"

"Kirishima-kun is right! We're here for Eri-chan's party!" Uraraka clapped her hands together.

"You just wanted to attend a party, didn't you Ochaco-chan?" Tsuyu asked her friend and Uraraka stiffened and waved her hands.

"Thanks for coming." Midoriya approached you as everyone started to tease Uraraka for her love of get-togethers. "Eri-chan was starting to get worried that you might have gotten lost."

You smiled gently and patted Eri's hat covered head. "Well that's partly right. The trains were just extra crowded from where I live to here."

"Oh! You don't live close to UA, sensei?" Mirio had now come to join in on the conversation.

You smirked. "As much as I love being a teacher and helping you all... even I need a break from the usual UA shenanigans."

Mirio chuckled and Midoriya seemed to understand the sentiment. Things always seemed to get a bit out of hand at UA... or with UA students.

"I'm curious though, Eri-chan." You spoke, catching the girl's attention. "What is the special occasion for?"

"The day and night are matching!" Eri cried out and you tilted your head to the side.

"She means it's the fall equinox." Midoriya chuckled.

"We're celebrating the day that both daylight and night are... equal?" You raise a brow, having never known people outside of specific religions would practice such a day.

"Eri-chan was a bit sad that she'd never been to a party before... so we kinda threw one, so she could experience one." Midoriya explained further and then he was getting tugged away.

"Mirio! Come play too!" Eri called to the tall blonde and then looked at you. "You can put your stuff down by Aizawa and enjoy the party!"

You nodded and started to walk towards said tired teacher. He paused in his afternoon read and greeted you as always: a simple nod of his head. You slipped into the picnic table on the same side he was on, but a good few centimeters away. Your view was perfect, showing Eri and the students laughing and playing around.

"So we're celebrating the Autumnal Equinox?" You muttered out, smirk tugging on your lips.

"I had no involvement in this. Just told to bring Eri. I'm only staying because some of them are known for getting into situations they clearly shouldn't have gotten themselves into... sometimes by mistake." Aizawa exhaled and then motioned to the table before you.

It was covered in all sorts of foods. The supply ranged from sandwiches and noodles to more snacky things like chips to desserts that clearly had been made by one of the students from the not-so-professional looking frosting smeared across the cupcakes.

"They came prepared though, huh?" You smiled, watching as Mirio picked Eri up and placed her on his shoulders as Nejire and Uraraka chased after them. "They're always really sweet to her too."

Aizawa nodded and watched as you exhaled, another content smile crossing over your features. You seemed to be in a very good mood today, and he was pretty grateful for that. Part of the reason he had allowed Eri to go to music club so often was because she always talked about you when club was over, and Aizawa had a keen eye for when you clearly were feeling down based on what Eri would say you did and said that session.

But for the last week, things looked to be looking up for you. You were working hard but looking to also be handling yourself well. Even going out of your way to organize and help plan some of the upcoming events that the year would entail, such as Christmas break.

"Aspiring heroes or not... they're all still good kids." You commented and Aizawa refocused his attention on the present.

"Good, if not a bit reckless." He smirked.

You laughed and shook your head. "Well... that's why the first years have you, right? You're pretty good at knocking some sense into people, especially those who aren't being that kind to themselves. Huh?"

You smiled at him, your words being a silent thank you for what he had said and done in the past few weeks. You had originally hated the idea of him hovering and checking up on you, but had forgotten that Aizawa often didn't insert himself into the lives of others unless it was dire. And if he did, he did so very subtly.

Such as sending Eri to you after school and letting her practice. You may be an emotional wreck eighty-three percent of the time, but you were at least a smart emotional wreck.

He never pried though. Only offering an ear and well thought out and well worded replies when you would initiate such discussions. He had gotten himself involved in your life, but it was clear he wasn't going to burden you because of it.

"It's my job. If I didn't help those who needed it, then I'd be both a poor teacher and hero." He shrugged and then noticed that Eri, Uraraka, Nejire, and Tsuyu were eagerly walking over to the picnic table.

The four all locked eyes onto the sweets and looked ready to reach out and grab them. You cleared your throat, the four girls stopping and looking up at you with embarrassed expressions. You merely shook your head and pointed to the other foods and the paper plates.

"You better balance all that sugar out with the other foods." You commented and watched as their eyes all lit up.

"Yes, sensei!"

"Of course, sensei."

"We'll be sure to do so, sensei!"

"Okay, sensei!"

The girls all started to eagerly grab the plates and fill up their plates with the mouth-watering delights everyone had brought. The boys had finally come back over now and looked shocked that the girls were raiding the food.

"H-hey! Save some for us." Mirio spoke, trying to get a plate himself.

"Don't take all the meat either! That's my favorite!" Kirishima hollered, watching as Nejire took two of the yakitori sticks.

"I think I'll wait." Midoriya commented and then looked to Amajiki who was standing near him.

Amajiki's face was disgruntled and Midoriya gave him a pitiful smile. Even Amajiki who hated social interactions wanted to snag good food choices before they were gone, but his anxiety wouldn't even let him move into the chaotic mess that was that picnic table right now.

You and Aizawa didn't meddle much more, only muttering to save a little of everything for everyone. Eventually Midoriya and Amajiki were able to get their own food and found seats next to their friends and classmates who were seated on either another picnic bench next to where you sat, or a blanket between the tables.

Aizawa glanced at you as you handed him a plate. He sighed, once more shutting his book and then looked out to see what was left. Most of the food was running low, but at least the students did leave a little of everything for their teachers. You and Aizawa split everything that remained and started to eat, listening to the discussion the students were having.

It seemed they were trying to have Eri tell them who her favorite hero was out of them all. She, of course, picked Midoriya right away and tugged on his arm happily. Midoriya's face was a deep red, as even something as little as that seemed to set off his teary demeanor and touched heart.

"There he goes again." Aizawa sighed, seeing as Eri was trying to get Midoriya to stop crying now.

"I wonder if she still would have picked Midoriya-san if you were thrown in there too." You chuckled to yourself.

Aizawa hummed. "In that case... let's throw you in there too and ask not only Eri's but all the students about who their favorite teacher is between us."

You merely rolled your eyes and ignored his devious smile. It seemed you were not the only one in a good mood today. The feeling engraved itself into your quirk and for at least a little while longer, you'd remain happy so long as those around you did as well.
