Arabella Campbell

"This is torture."
Eileen groaned. The trio: Eileen, Julien and Arabella, along with other Ravenclaws and Gryffindors, were in the middle of their final class of the week. History of magic, a class that was supposed to end 26 minutes ago. They had already endured an hour long boring lesson about the 69th minister of magic, they weren't willing to endure more.

Arabella too was itching to get out of her seat and leave. It was as if school was extending their sentence and depriving them of their freedom, their freedom being the weekends and the Hogsmeade visit. By now, Arabella barely gave any mind to the babblings of Proffesor Binns, she was rather focused on sketching a flower stamped onto her mind, that was the only thing that put her impatience to rest. Temporarily.

In the middle of her previous walk in the Forrest, Arabella had stumbled upon a flower, one she hasn't seen before. It seemed normal if it wasn't for the gold tint of the stem that bore into the leaves. It wasn't a shrub, it wasn't a bush, it looked to have been a plant that had sprouted two or three weeks ago. The stem had human like veins, also colored gold. It had almost looked as if it had a circulatory system colored gold. Unfortunately for Arabella, a flower was yet to bloom but the gold of the plant was enough to make it as special as a flower filled plant, maybe even better.

If it wasn't for her discovery, Arabella would have found the class absolutely dreadful.
"Hey, pst."
A tap on her shoulder divided her attention from her skecthing. She looked to whoever had wanted to gain her attention and suddenly, she dreaded being in this class as much as Eileen.
"Is it true you rejected Moo- err Remus?"
"It's none of your bloody business Black."
Her eyes diverted from Sirius to her sketch. Arabella tried to use all her brain power to focus on the detailed pattern of the leaves instead of the pestering of the boy seated behind her. Alas, it was impossible, especially when the said pestering boy kept nudging her elbow and ruining her skecth.
"Why don't you ask your best friend Moony then?! Quit butting your nose in my business or else I'll break it!"
All her threat recieved was a scoff and a reply going by:

"Empty threats don't scare me."

"Disgraceful! Violent! Wreckless! Disobedient! Disrespectful! No regard towards rules whatsoever! How many more must I use to describe your ill actions, so that you will apologize to Mr.Black, Ms.Campbell!?"
McGonagall's rant went on an on. Arabella hated it and she had the power to stop it, yet she wouldn't allow herself to. In order to cease McGonagall's harsh words, she had to apologize to Sirius. And that was the last thing Arabella was willing to do.

"Proffesor, you must understand my actions were not unprovoked!"

"Yes, I understand Ms.Campbell and Mr.Black will receive a short punishment as well for disobedience during class but! Whatever provoking Mr.Black did, it did not deserve a punch to the face and a kick in his.. weak area so I expect you to apologize!"
Arabella's distaste came in the form of a very vocal groan.

"I'm sorry." Her apology was quick and simple, just the way McGonagall didn't like it.

"Ms.Campbell you are not 5 years old so I expect you to not apologize like one."

"Sirius, an innocent and loving soul. From the bottom of the depths of my heart, I sincerely apologize. I am so sorry for breaking your nose and taking away your ability to have children. I hope that your incredibly handsome and stunning face and smooth voice won't urge me to punch you once again."
The corners of Sirius' lips rose which gave Arabella the impression he was stopping himself from laughing. She just hoped Sirius was the only one who understood the sarcasm of her apology and McGonagall had thought it was a genuine, well-said apology.

"Well, for your very poetic and kind hearted apology Ms.Campbell I will not deduct points but you will recieve detention to be decided by your house head. As for you, Mr.Black, 15 points from Gryffindor. You are both dismissed."
Almost immediately, the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw stood, bags in hand, and prepared to leave.

"Oh and Ms.Campbell?" A groan echoed through Arabella's head. She loved McGonagall and her teachings but she can be a pain in the ass if she wanted to be. Arabella didn't know whether it should be an admired trait or a hated one.

"We do give lighter scoldings and punishments to those who use violence against people who discriminate or in simpler words, against people who fully deserve it."
A small smile grew on both the ladies' lips.

"I'll keep that in mind Proffesor."
And with that, Arabella exited McGonagall's office ready to make her way to Flitwick's, for her punishment.

"I have to say, that was one of the best apologies I have ever received."
Stood infront of her was Sirius, a smile of smug and possibly even pride.
"Then the apologies you ussually recieve must be horrid! I am so sorry. Also, Madame Pomfrey fixed your nose, why are you wearing that useless bandage?"
Her eyes stayed on the small piece of worn-out bandage that was put across the bridge of Sirius' nose. She knew it was no longer useful because she knew Madame Pomfrey used an Episkey charm on his nose, she saw Madame Pomfrey do it herself.

"It makes me look cool. Don't you think?" As he finished his words, Sirius shoved his face to be closer to Arabella's. At this, Arabella grimaced.

"You better get that incredibly handsome and stunning face away from me."
An obviously faux cough had finished the uprising arguement before it even started.

"Remus, hi."
Instead of a reply from Remus, Arabella received a reply from James.

"You think Sirius' face is not only handsome and stunning but INCREDIBLY handsome and stunning?"

"I take offense to that. Of course she does, I'm beautiful, aren't I Belly?"
Arabella's eyebrows furrowed but strangely, on her lips was a faint smile.

"Yes, so much I'd like to kiss it."
Her tone dripped sarcasm. Arabella couldn't help but once again grimace at the kissy face Sirius made at her. Not so gently, she swatted away Sirius' face and errupted in brief fit of giggles with Sirius.

"I see you're well now. That's a relief."
Arabella told Remus.

"Yes." He replied.

Immediately, Arabella sensed something was wrong. And she knew exactly what it was. Remus was avoiding her glance. Starring at his shoes when she was looking at him but starring at her when she wasn't. And keeping his words to a small amount when he needed to speak to Arabella. She hoped it wouldn't come down to this but it seems Remus was an easy target of awkwardness. Arabella wasn't giving up easily though.

"So.. you're still going to Hogsmeade, correct?"

"Yup."
And there, Arabella gave up. Perhaps a few days apart would end the awkward tension between Remus and Arabella.

"Well, you have fun then. I'll get going now. Because of you, I have to go through detention now."
Her words came with a soft punch to the arm of Sirius.

"I used words, you used fists said McGonagall!"
She couldn't help but roll her eyes as she walked away.
'Maybe Sirius wasn't so bad after all.'
