chapter one, Golf N' Stuff

"Do you really want
to live forever?"

Morgan sat in her best friend jasmine's convertible as they drove to golf n' stuff. Beatrice and jasmine had a double date with their boyfriends and since they invited their friend group, the girls invited Morgan. She felt as if she was out of place, like she didn't belong there with everyone else. "Come on morg cheer up!" Beatrice yelled to the girl in the backseat as the wind flew in her short, silky, dark black hair. "It's not like they hate you or anything. Bobby and Tommy both love you!" Jasmine added as Morgan signed. "That's just because they haven't gotten the chance to know me." She rolled her eyes and so did the girls up front. "Oh sure. Well this is also your chance to get to know someone better! So cheer up Morgan Jones" Beatrice said while looking back at the dirty blonde girl who had now began listening to the music playing on her Walkman. God how much she loved that thing. Even if she was upset she could just listen to her Walkman and lie down in bed staring at the ceiling while drifting off to sleep. She sighed once again when she realized they had arrived. "Hey you guys did I really have to come?" She states a little loud since her music was still playing. "Yes morgan you did. And take that thing off your head it's making you deaf." The trio giggled as morgan took the headphones off her head placing it back down in the car. She ran back up to her friends who just found their boyfriends. "Oh hey Morgan!" Bobby said before sending the nervous girl a smile making her lighten up a little bit. She was only nervous she would feel excluded or out of place and wasn't about to ruin their night so she kept a good distance away from them unless they asked her something. Once the other cobra's arrived they introduced themselves to morgan. "Hey I'm dutch" he said while poking out his hand so she could shake it and she did so. "I'm jimmy" another boy said while waving at her. She waved back to be polite even though they were right next to each other. "And I'm Johnny Lawrence". That's when she saw him for the first time. He smirked at her because of how she responded. With her mouth wide open and staring at his miraculous features. He tapped her on the shoulder causing her to come back to reality and out of her trance. "You alright there?" He paused not knowing her name yet. "Morgan." She replied quickly before looking away and down at the ground. He could tell she was shy at first and he found it awfully cute. "Alright then let's get going and playing some games!" Johnny said sounding pretty excited to play some rigged arcade games. They all walked towards the big arcade sign and entered. "Hey I'm going to go play dig-dug. I'll meet you guys at the front later alright?" Dutch says before running off with jimmy following behind him. "So what do you want to do?" Morgan asked before finally looking back up at him smiling at her. "I saw this really cool game here last time but it was too late to play it but now it's the perfect timing come on." He grabbed her hand running towards the back of the arcade where he was right, there was a new game waiting there for them. She read the game title 'Kung Fu Master'. Of course he would want to play a karate video game. "It looks totally awesome huh?" He sounded really pumped up about it and she didn't want to burst his bubble so she agreed. "Yeah it does!" She knew she didn't even believe herself but luckily he did. After a while of watching Johnny play and win multiple times she actually began to get interested in this king fu master game. "Wait so is it just like real karate? I mean you would know since you're in cobra Kai and everything-'' she stutters a little and Johnny just chuckled. "Yeah it's pretty similar. You want to try?" He said while smiling at her and she started fidgeting with her hands. "I actually don't think I would be able to do it.." she said obviously doubting herself. "I could show you if you'd like." He said scratching the back of his neck as if he was nervous. "I'm fine really go ahead and keep playing." She said before sitting back down. He grabbed her arm and brang her back up. "Hey do you wanna golf now? Only if you want to because if not I'm totally fine with that and we could just get something to eat or play another game or whatever." Morgan laughed and patted him on the back. "Golfing sounds nice. Come on let's go. After golfing though you owe me something to eat if I kick your butt." She said while laughing as they walked towards the exit and entered the area for golfing. "So you really think you're going to kick my ass huh?" Johnny said before grabbing two golf clubs and 2 balls. "No Johnny I don't think, I know." She said before smirking and hitting the ball right into the hole. She smiled at the boy who had his mouth hanging wide open just like she once did. "Okay what the hell! How did you make that perfect shot! I honestly don't understand! How did you do it?" He said before finally closing his jaw that hung open so wide seconds before. "Something to eat?" She asked before he smirked and hit the ball straight into the hole just like you did. "Yeah food sounds nice." He said smirking to himself after mocking you. "Oh my god did Johnny Lawrence seriously just mock the Morgan Jones? I don't think so. But.. you buying me food would make up for it-'' she said before he laughed and took her hand, leading her to the rides area that also included food. "So what did you want anyways?" Johnny asked while you lead him to a hot dog on a stick stand. You guys ordered what you both wanted and he took out his wallet prepared to pay. "It was a joke you don't have to pay for me. Here I have enough to buy it for myself truly you don't have to." She said before he shoved the cash in the workers hands and grabbed her arm starting to lead her away so she didn't pay. "Look you didn't have to do that. I could've perfectly payed myself. I was more than capable." She said looking at the blonde boy who ironically still had a smile on his face. "What if I said I wanted to pay for you?" He smirked as he looked down at the not so short girl. "We'll I would say thank you. But also that you didn't need to do that." She said while giggling at her own joke. She saw Johnny smiling at her. "You wanna go on the Ferris wheel?" He asked before they both ran off to get in line quickly before it was too late. Once they got on the ride they saw Bobby and tommy with jasmine and Beatrice. It started to move up and once they were all the way up in the air at the top of the ride, she held onto his arm a little bit showing she was scared. He put his arm around her and they both began to lean in. Preparing themselves for a kiss. Once their lips connected it became a more soft and passionate kiss. But once they heard their friends cheers they pulled away trying not to end it so fast but they knew it was their only option at this point. Johnny gave the finger to his friends and morgan did the same. They all just laughed it off until the ride was done. Morgan and Johnny separated since their friends had already suspected they actually had something going on. Once golf n' stuff closed everyone went back to their cars but the order was different now. Jasmine wanted to ride with Bobby instead of in her car so she let Beatrice drive. Tommy wanted to ride with Beatrice too so he ended up in the passenger seat. Jimmy and Dutch were the only other ones who could fit in Johnny's car who Bobby ended up driving anyways. So Johnny was left in the back seat of jasmines convertible right next to Morgan. She started playing music on her Walkman with her headphones on silently bopping her head when her favorite song finally played. Johnny looked over and saw her and he smiled to himself. He also brought his Walkman and began listening to his favorite song too. Neither one of them knew yet but that night was one of many to come.

Just kidding lmao. I'm rewatching cobra Kai right now. I watched karate kid 3 before this but yeah. I'm updating extremely quickly on this book since I love it so much 😙
