"actually.. i've been thinking." sam started speaking up. "i'm not really in good terms with my family so.. i don't really know if it's a good idea to go home."

"is samantha fraser asking me to stay at my house?" deena asked with a chuckle.

sam nodded slowly and looked out the window.

"what a surprise. this is kinda like the first time you've ever actually acknowledged my existence. properly." deena said. "are you sure you're actually gonna help me with the project?"

"oh yeah! for sure." sam said with a sarcastic smile, making the tone of her voice as kind as possible.

"so basically we just draw every single fucking planet that exists and write any fact about them and that's it i guess." deena said.

"oh cool." sam said, looking down and using her phone.

"are you gonna help me or not?" deena said, glaring at the blonde girl.

"no, not really." sam answered.

"this is a group project, you're supposed to help me!"

"well, i don't care! do it yourself." sam said, not even looking up.

deena rolled her eyes. "fucking bitch." she muttered under her breath.

sam chuckled softly. "i'm offended but i wouldn't invite me either."

"why are you like this? you always talk smart."

"i do?"

"surprisingly. blonde girls aren't always necessarily the smartest." deena said with a shrug.

"okay, now i'm offended." sam said, scoffing.

"god. just go to bed." deena said, pushing sam to the guest room.
