Dear lover,

It's been so long since my last letter to you and I truly apologize for that. I wonder how many seasons has passed since I've last seen you and your eyes that shine brighter than any star in the night's abyss. This journey I'm on is quite the adventure, I wish you would've accompanied me but I could never force you where your heart doesn't wish to go.

I will eventually be returning back home to you, so we can be reunited once and forever more. I want to tell you all about my adventures while I was away while you tell me your daily happenings. Be prepared for many tales and stories that will bring awe to you. I've met so many new friends and acquaintances on my journey that you would love to meet, I hope some cam actually visit us some day or we visit them haha.

I can't wait to return to you and your comforting presence that would even tame the most unruly of beasts. Your gentle hands against mine is a feeling I long for but I would wait until the end of my days for you. I await the day our hearts can dance with one another again. I love you and only you, my love. I would dare fight the gods if I ever had to prove how much I love you and will always love you.

I promise that once I return, I will never leave you again. The pain of me leaving hurt me so, even with all the thrills I've had but they were short lived if I couldn't experience them all with you. I could only assume the same pain clawed at your heart while I was gone.

Your soul mate and twin flame,

Writer

You quiver your lip as you read the last letter from many years ago while sitting next to their grave near a cliff where they proposed to you. "You never got to make your promise to me. You should've waited a little longer before returning back to me. This wouldn't have happened if you just waited." You rack out a sob as you hugged their tombstone, not caring if the cold marble chilled you to the bone. The ocean crashing against the cliffside fueled your sorrow, the sea took your twin flame, your soul mate, your lover away from you before they could ever return to you. You looked at the ring they proposed to you with and whispered "I promise to never love anyone since I've given you all of the love I had. I cannot love anyone like I loved you. I promise when it's my time to join you, I'll be right next to you, I don't want you to be alone here". Your sobs continued until you passed out, next to the tomb of your lover who never got to say goodbye
