The corridor seemed to have no end. It felt like she had been walking for hours and time passed by in slow motion, the corridor was completely empty, their footsteps being the only sounds keeping them company. All of the walls had the same dull shade of grey, they were illuminated by pale blue lights that made shadows seem ominous. Finally, at the end of the endless corridor there came a heavily reinforced metal gate, the smell of metal and disinfectant filled her lungs. "Well we're here, any last words?" said the guard holding her left arm firmly "Might as well say anything you want to say now, it's unlikely you'll live to see tomorrow." said the guard holding her right arm. 'Liar, it's not unlikely, it's impossible.' thought the girl as she watched one of the guards swipe his card in the electronic opening to the gate "Well it was nice knowing you!" said the guards letting go of the girl and pushing her through the gate into a large room, the gate shutting quickly behind her preventing her escape; she was trapped. She looked around the room, there was nothing there, all the walls were painted white and at the top of the left and right walls there were one-way windows "Tsk, observatories." She muttered. The room was well lit and smelled strongly of disinfectant and another smell she couldn't quite name. There was a loud creaking sound on the other side of the room as the opposite gate opened. The lights started flickering barely illuminating the room now as if trying to add to the ghostly atmosphere that was already present in the room. Through the opposite gate she could see the figure of some sort of animal crawling into the room on all fours, she could hear the faint thumping of its footsteps on the cold metal floor. She took in a deep breath and slowly sat down cross-legged resting her hands on her knees, she could see the creature stand up on its hind legs, it seemed that the creature was covered in feathers; slowly closing her eyes she cleared her thoughts all the while the faint thumping of footsteps drew nearer and nearer steadily getting louder. 3 minutes passed, 5 minutes, 7 minutes, she counted in her head, the footsteps were now surely right in front of her, suddenly, they stopped and complete silence spread throughout the room.
