Starting Rough

My head pounds as the ringing in my ear gets louder and louder. "Where am I?" The ringing goes away. My head clears as I remember where I am. "Oh! Sorry mom I forgot to-" I notice that I'm outside. Wait how did I get outside? Where am I? "Hello?" I look around to see if I see anyone. "Anyone there? Can you hear me?" Im stressing out right now, and nothing else can get better. Im stranded. I hear a faint noise. Crap, can't be a hyena or something? "Hello? Can you hear me?" I hear a faint scream talking back. "I can't hear you, but I'm coming!" I start running into the woods. I can't see anything but I hear the voice get louder and louder. "What's your name? Please tell me!" What if it is Carmon? Oh No! I'm NOT saving them. I stop. "What's your name!" I hear the voice say something with a J. "Jay? J what?" It gets deeper and deeper until I hear "J- Josh! It's Josh!" Ugh, another jock. Can't believe I'm stuck hear with a jock. "Oh. I'm Shelby. Shelby Lopez!" He looks at me with cold blue eyes. "I'm Josh Harris. Pleased to meat you." He bows. How "romantic", heh, so gross. Ugh I hate men so much.

"Have you seen anyone else?" I look around the woods to see anything. "Nope. Not even a fly. You know its kinda weird how no-" A faint scream is heard. "Never mind." He turns away and starts yelling for their name. A starts to run around to see if I can see a body. "Hello? Im Vanessa! Can you hear me?" I faint body appears next to some shrubs. "Can you see me?" She's a long, dark skin girl with a large stick in her hand. And beautiful black hair. Wow, she's pretty. "Are you ok?" She puts down her stick and comes closer. "Yeah I'm fine. Who was with you?" It's been 3 minutes and I already forgot his name. Was it Jake? No wait, John. Maybe?? "Jonke!" She laughs. "Jonke? Don't you mean Jake? Or John?" I laugh nervously. God how'd I mess up this bad! "It's Josh. I think." Josh walks in the distance closer to us. "You guys good?" Vanessa blushes. "Y-yep!" Ugh, not her falling for the jock. "I heard your name is Josh? Im Vanessa, Vanessa Mahogany." I blush. Mahogany?! That's such a pretty name! Ugh, he's not even gonna notice me! Not like that matters. I step back so they can have there moment. "Where are you going?" I step back again and hit a tree root or a hard stick. Huh? Am I falling? My head thuds the ground and my arm gets cut on a rock. "Ow! Can someone g- get help." I start to zone out. My head starts to fill with adrenaline. I start to feel it pump. Ughhh, now what's next? I stay on the ground until someone comes back.

"Sorry we had to find a big leaf and some berries." Vanessa smiled while blushing. "Thanks!" She gives me the leaf while feeding me the berries. "I haven't caught your name. It is?" I start eating the berries and wrapping the leaf around my arm. "Schelbuy" I realize the berries where still in mouth. "I meanft Shelkbee, Not Scheldber!" After I said that she starts laughing, I feel embarrassed but after swallowing I start to laugh. As I'm tearing up a say "My names Shelby. Lopez to be exact." She gets up and puts her hand out so I can get up. I take her hand as I tighten the leaf, but the pain on my head is unbearable. I feel for the back of my head as Vanessa pulls me up. I feel blood or a liquid of some sort. As I get up I check for any other bruise. "Is that blood? I can't see?" She looks while tapping my head. "Yep, I think it's a medium sized cut." I sigh. Wait. Where's Josh?

"Where Josh?" She looks around. "I- I don't know? Maybe he want to look for a way out? I- I." She sits down against a tree. "I don't know if we can leave. What if we're stuck here?" I crouch next to her. "It doesn't hurt to try." It doesn't hurt to TRY? What WAS THAT? I mess up didn't I. "Thanks. That meant a lot." I help her up and she runs off. Oh my god. THAT WORKED? Thank me right? I run over to see if I can see a beach. As I walk upon the beach, I see nothing but ocean. Pretty waters for sure, but it's ALL ocean. What the HELL HAPPENED? The island is relatively small so I can see the other end of the island nearby. I start to run as fast as possible. After running for about 55 seconds, I trip on a rock again. God, I'm so clumsy. I see two figures out in the distance, and what seems like a fight happening. I speed walk over to see what's wrong.
