SAMEERA'S POV

"Stop" Jaden said snatching the phone out of my hands "I was just-" I started but he cut me off "you were just reading people saying bad shit and getting upset" he finished. Before I could respond the drivers side door opened, Amy got in and sat two grocery bags in the passenger seat. "How are the puppies?" she asked as she started the car, not looking back towards us.

We pulled into the driveway and I cradled Cash like a baby as Jaden held Money. We brought them inside "Give them a bath please" Amy said, carrying the bags into the kitchen and setting them onto the countertop. We went upstairs and Jaden got out two towels and sat them on the bathroom counter. I started the water and sat Cash in first then sat Money next to him. I sat next to the tub and Jaden sat to me.

After we gave the puppies a bath we dried them off and went into Jaden's room. We made them a makeshift dog bed out of hoodies so they would be warm. "You ok Sam?" Jaden asked "Yeah why wouldn't I be?" I asked a question in return "Sorry you just looked a little zoned out" he replied
