Sophie's Pov
"SOPHIE" screamed someone, I ignored them
"SOPHIE GRACE RIVERS" my dad is the only one that calls me that and he only calls me that when he is really mad. So I pulled myself out of bed and went downstairs.
"Yah dad" I said still half asleep
"The letter it's here, it's finally here!!" Said my dad with excitement. Knowing what He was talking about I turned around in one swift move and started to make my way upstairs.
"Aren't you going to sign up" said josh joining into the conversation.
"No I don't want to go fight for some stupid stuck up prince" I said a little irritated
" Please honey, we could really use the money" my dad said sincerely "but we aren't going to force you to something you don't want to do it"
Then guilt struck me what was I saying they have all sacrificed so much for me the least I could do is enter this competition. It would also make dad happy he doesn't get this happy anymore after mom died. "ill do it".
My dad looked at me in surprise and then did a thing I missed so much he smiled. And besides what the chance I'll get picked? So I grabbed the form and ran up stairs to fill it out.

It had a few personal question to. I was about to leave to the post office but Luke stopped me. Out of my 3 brothers me and Luke were the closet.

"My selection form"
"Your joining that thing?" He said With a little groan
"Yah..."
"We'll then start packing your bags"
"What??"
"We'll your going to get picked your the prettiest girl in Port"
"Ha ha ah very funny"
"It's true though every boy is head over heals for you"
"Nah your just saying that"
"No I'm not, the only reason you don't realize it because I don't let them get near you because most of them are jerks like Brooklyn"
Just the sound of that name makes my stomach hurt.
"Luke would you be a good brother and come with me to the post office"
"But of course little sis"
With that me and look head off to the post office.
