"I thought you were really strong-?" You spoke out and Sukuna gave a large ear to ear smile. "You aren't wrong," He then harshly grabbed your arm and pulled you close to him. His grip was tight; and the feeling of his large rough hand gripping your bare wrist made you wince. "I'm strong enough to not only kill you and most around me, but I can also devour you." As if getting a kick from this situation, he let out a laugh and pulled you even closer. His other hand gripped your waist harshly as he lowered his voice, "I could also break you. In more ways than one." Your face flushed as mixed emotions of shock, embarrassment, and anger filled you. He then go of your arm and removed his hand from your waist with a slight shove. You staggered back and glared at Sukuna. "But The reason I brought you here was to show you who I was talking about. He's the main reason I can't destroy anything. He often hangs around Megumi, so you'll see him soon."

You rubbed your wrist and gazed down at the training area. Below you saw the same man with pink hair from before laughing with megumi next to him. Your face instantly lit up and you were ready to rush down there until Sukuna spoke: "Id be careful around him, though. Danger seems to follow him. That's why he's in the situation he's in now." Sukuna turned to walk away, but you spoke up. "What do you mean? Aren't you supposed to be the strongest of the strong?"

"They'll explain it to you. Just ask them. But return to me right afterwards," Sukuna waved you off before walking away.

Holding in your frustrations, you quickly walked down the long path of stairs. "Megumi!" You called out. This caused Megumi and the male next to him to turn around and face you. "Ah, (Y/n)." Megumi turned his full attention on you while the male with pink hair next to him gasped. "So you're Sukuna's offering!" The male then covered his mouth with his hand, "pretty."

Megumi then hit the male on the head with an agitated look. "Stop messing around," he huffed out. The pink hair male rubbed his head and then bowed, "I'm Itadori Yuji!" Your eyes widened upon finally finding out who Itadori was. He stood up straight and placed a hand behind his neck and gave a sheepish smile, "I probably should've introduced myself earlier."

"Well—we were running for our lives beforehand, so don't worry about it." While you and itadori began to talk and chat as if you both were old friends, Megumi spoke up. "Why are you on the training grounds in the first place?" Your finger began to play with your hair as you pondered on what to say. "Sukuna brought me here so I could see who he was talking about." You shrugged and Itadori nodded.

"Sorry about him. If I could stop him, I would." Itadori mumbled and you decided to ask them a question. "I heard that Sukuna is monitored! Isn't he supposed to be the strongest of the strong? Then how-?" Your question began to sound like hopeless mumbles as you continued on. But that's when Megumi spoke up. "Im sure you've heard of the LightLoft Memory tree, right? It's known as Lightloft's sacred place; children make wishes there, and people pray to the tree for good fortune."

"Of course I know that place! I've only been there twice due to my dad telling me it was dangerous, but my first time there is how I met you!" You say and Megumi gave a small smile at the memory.

But, that memory was for another time.

"It's a large tree with a navy blue oak stem and light blue leaves. The gems in the tree tend to make the entire place glow light blue along with the gems in the ground. It's told that someone's memories could be locked away; stolen, when in contact with a certain part of the tree." Megumi then began to go into deeper detail, "but it can also lock up power. Long ago, strong sorcerers managed to lock away a few memories that belonged to Sukuna—along with his curse strength."

Megumi then glared at Itadori, "the gems that contained Sukuna's powerful cursed energy had vanished. And it was essential for being able to beat that curse; but some idiot with pink hair just had to recently find one and eat it on accident."

Itadori then sheepishly smiled and rubbed the back of his neck.

"So now we're trying to find all the gems before Sukuna does."

"And then I'll be killed!" Itadori says and your eyes widened upon how calmly he said it. "What?? Why?!" You took a step closer and Megumi spoke up again. "After eating Sukuna's power locked away in that gem, part of sukuna is now inside Itadori. Not only does each gem hold a memory that belongs to Sukuna, it provides some of his power as well. By the end of everything, Itadori's body should still be able to contain all the gems—giving him most of Sukuna's strength. He'd still be him though, and with that, we'll use Itadori along with Gojo to kill Sukuna and end Itadori's life. We can't have Sukuna contain all of the gems because once he does...it'd be hard to beat him. Many lives would be lost in the battle too. So Itadori is a much safer option."

"But it's okay! I promised my gramps that I would help others and die a meaningful death!" Itadori said with determination, putting his fist into his hand.

It seemed as if he was destined to be faced with death.

Itadori looked off to the sky, "but enough of this sad talk! I'm glad to see you've survived for so long! It's impressive!" He gave a bright smile before looking at his hands. "I've heard about what happened to the other offerings. Most of them didn't even last two days," He then turned to look at you with a determined gaze;

"I'm tired of seeing people die. I'm tired of seeing others suffer, and I just want a death that I can count on while being surrounded by friends.." he smiled softly before getting that strong passion in his eyes; "That's why I've been training so I can protect the ones around me! So let me promise this to you-!"

"I'll help you live no matter what during your time as Sukuna's offering!"
