Starting Over - 1

Chapter 1

"Huh? What is this place?"

He stood on the grass, perplexed. Moments ago he had been in a library, and then he had been subjected to bright light which then brought him here. All of it took place in such an instant that he could barely make out what happened.

He wondered "Where could I be?.." as he looked around him. The wind caressed his carmine hair, his blue eyes glistened in the sunlight. He wore a blue shirt and white trousers.

The place looked surreal; the trees were full of leaves, the grass was long and lush, it was a shade of green that indicated it was healthy and free of any human involvement. The sun shined ever so brightly that its warmth radiated all over the place. The sky was cloudless, and the weather was pleasant. Amidst all the beauty lay a path which stretched to quite a distance. It seemed that there weren't any humans that inhabited the place.

But then he noticed someone else lying on the grass, "Could that be..." his heart raced thinking about it. He walked closer towards the person and, "Anna! It is you"

Anna was the girl lying on the ground. The ends of her long indigo hair had been soiled by dirt. Her ears were pointed, and she had a round face.

Anna was his only friend who had been at his side whenever he needed help. She was very important to him, who always prioritized his friends over himself. They had known each other for a long time, and had a great relationship. Since Anna was so important to him, he would be worried about anything related to her, whether it be minor or big.

He was in Anna's house before he came here and now that he recalled it, Anna had followed him in the bright light which would be the very reason she was here.

He shook her, "Anna wake up, are you okay?"

She opened her eyes and saw him besides herself, "Felix!"

She stood up quickly and observed the place, "Uhmm, where are we?"

"I don't know.." said Felix. He glanced at her with his worried eyes"Are you okay though?"

"Oh I am okay,I think," she continued, "Do you remember how we came here?"

"I think?! Anna what is wrong tell me" said Felix in a worrisome voice.

"You dumb idiot, I wonder why you're so overprotective at times. I'm completely fine"

"I'm sorry.."

"C'mon now don't apologize like that, we are friends right?"

"Yes!!"

"Good. So what do you think are we going to do here?"

"Hmm.. Let me think. "

"I see a path here that seems to be going quite a distance, we don't know where we are so I think it would be a good idea to go along the path."

"What? Suddenly?"

"Yes, I mean what are we gonna get by staying here anyway."said Anna.

Felix thought for a while and said,"Well if you say so.. Sure!! Let's go"

Felix was skeptical about the idea of following the path, they were unfamiliar with this place and he didn't know where the path would take them. Regardless, because Anna had said so, Felix could not disagree with her.

They started walking, through the path. There were trees on either side of the path, full of leaves but they bore no fruit. The path was clean in a way, it looked as if it had not been walked on a lot.
