"Come on, you know it'll be fun Melissa. Besides, this could be your chance to get to know him." My best friend Alex pleads for me to attend Calum Hood's party that starts in 10 minutes.

"Alex, I love you a lot, and I owe you for a life ton of shit, but NOTHING you say can make me go to this party." You give her an assured look, trying to prove that no means no and no party is worth risking yours and Calum's current relationship status.

Which is the "married-but-he-doesn't-even-know-who-I-am".

"Melissa, at this party will be his best friend Michael Gordon Clifford and you know how I feel about him AND how shy I get. So if I'm gonna risk my night with Michael, of all the fucking boys I could spend it with, then you're gone come to this party and turn the fuck up." Grabbing my arm to emphasize her seriousness and staring straight into my eyes, her pupils dilated at the thought of Michael, I sighed.

"ALEXANDRA IM NOT GONNA GO. THATS THE END OF IT." I say, ready to turn away this opportunity.

"I'm coming back in 5 and if you're not ready I'm not talking to you anymore." She calls from my front yard, my hand on the knob unsure of whether I should turn back or head inside.

The light switch clicked in my head and I knew it was the worst choice I could ever make.

"I'm going dressed like this and if he doesn't like it he can fuck off and I'll go home." Alex squeals in excitement. "Okay well I really don't have anything to fix because no matter what I'll always be ugly, so let's go."

"Alex, no matter how many times I tell you you're not ugly you don't believe me." I say, walking with her down the street. We know where Calum lives by heart, only because he and his 3 friends, Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, and of course, Michael Clifford walk in front of us and they always go into the same house after school when we walk home.

"Because Melissa, you wouldn't understand what it's like to be ugly. You're face is not exactly as horrifying as mine." She points to her face, which I know she means the light brown freckles dotted on her face, and the crease in her nose that looks like a straight line splitting the tip of her nose in half, and her naturally wavy/curly hair she absolutely hates.

"Not exactly.." I point out that she isn't the one wearing broken glasses (The left arm fell off but my glasses still sit plainly on my face as if there was still an arm there. It's weird). "True true." she laughs her adorably annoying laugh, and snorts a few times.

It felt like we weren't even walking, kinda like we were sitting in her room ranting about how ugly we are, or how ugly certain slutty girls at are school are. That's the thing about her, she can bring me closure no matter where we go. As long as I'm with her, I can pretty much make awkwardness one of the funniest things ever.

"We're heeeeerrreeee!" Alex points out, pushing her finger in my cheek in excitement. Music is blasting but there's no one outside and the door is closed.

"Okay, I'll go first, since I'm more ambitious." I say, pushing her behind me as I take the first step onto his porch. "Hey, you know I don't like those big words you always throw at me. I'm only 7." I giggle. I'm always giggling. It's my nature.

"Come on Alex, you know it's true. Besides, we're both 17, we gotta take risks. Live life, ya know?" I say, knocking at the door.

"Wait, did we even get invited?" I ask, but before I can even turn around to get an answer from Alex, the door swings open.

"Hi, my name is Cal-"

He stops and looks into my dark brown eyes, starting to look dazed In a matter of seconds. My heart starts pounding out of my chest, but all I can do is stand there and stare back.

"C-Calum. My name I-is Calum. Welcome to my party." his Aussie accent plus his face plus everything else which was perfect about him made me wanna faint.

"What's taking so long? Stop flirting with everyone who comes in-" Michael opens the door behind him and I feel Alex tense up. "W-well, uh, aren't you gonna l-let us in?" I manage to spit out, not breaking eye contact with the sexy angel.

Michael pushed Calum to the side and gestures for us to go inside. I nod thankfully at him as I pass him, but I feel some type of vibe when Alex walks by him. A very thin rope of sexual tension, ready to snap.

Don't blame us, we're only good girls who haven't been caught. 😉.

"Hey, uh, you!" I hear Calum's voice loud and clear through the blaring music as I look around the very nice house. I turn to him, only to see he's closer than I expected. "Are you new to school? How come I've never seen you?" He asks, brushing his big hand through his perfectly imperfect hair. God, I want him to-

"No, I've been at the school for 3 years and we have 5 classes together. But not many people notice me." I reply, taking in the decor of the house. The theme must be fall, there are countless brown and red items, things like the couches, candles, picture frames, even the cream paint on the wall was done with elegance.

"Oh.. sorry about that. it's just that I think you're.. you're very... I get this feeling that.. ugh, I can't explain it. But it's a good feeling... What's your name, love?"

I almost didn't remember my name for a second. All that was replaying in my head was, "Love? Love, love love.."

"Melissa. My name is Melissa." The living room soon fills with more people, so I claim the couch before anyone else does.

Crashing himself right on top of me, he lays down horizontally, somewhat it was comforting. He looks up at me with his cute brown eyes and his adorable smile faded as he stared at me.

Not this again..

"Calum, I hope you don't mind me asking, but what is your deal with me? I mean you're like obsessed with my face and it's very uncomfortable."

He grew a sly smirk and continues to stare. Then, he lost it. He leaned up and whispered,

"No more games. I really wanna fuck you right now."
